If arrogance were a virtue, this man would be a saint. While setting an appointment for me for a Friday afternoon, Polk made his payment preferences the main point of our short conversation. He was very clear as to what forms of payment he accepts and how much per session he charges. He couldn't be botherrd as to the issues motivated me to seek counseling or any aspect of what I needed.
When I went to the session before the appointed time in order to complete the paperwork as he requested, I found yet again an explanation of his charges, acceptable forms of payment and an explanation as to why he would not file on my insurance. Ironically, it was because he was an approved provider on my insurance that I made my way to him.
I waited in the empty waiting room to be called in for my appointment. After 25 minutes with no word from him, much less an appearance, I left. Bad form, Dan. Very unprofessional. I would encourage anyone seeking a qualified counselor to look elsewhere. read more
