Hi All, I have recently brought my wedding lengha from Daminis was really pleased the day i brought it. I put a deposit down and the person serving was really very helpful, probably because she was trying to catch a sale. I put a deposit down on my outfit and requested a few additions to the embroidary which werent cheap, but as it was my wedding lengha i thought it was worth it. The sales woman told me that all fittings were included and that i should come back closer to my wedding to get my alterations done. The lengha was packed in a nice silver box wrapped in tissue paper. i then went on a hunt to buy my jewellery and as the paper it was wrapped in had torn from taking it and in, i went back into daminis to ask for a few extra sheets so that when the lengha was presented to me officially on the weddng it would be wrapped to look nice, the woman in the shop refused to give me any tissue paper, i dont know why but she was damn rude and really off putting. I mean i speant thousands on the lengha and they coulddnt even give a few sheets of paper? how lame.i was furious at the way she spoke to us, and it was the same woman who had served us originally. Her attitude was obnoxious. Anyway i left it. I then returned a few months later to get my alterations for the wedding and they then told me that alterations are charged for, when i told them i was told they were included she refused blatently and said no way, she asked me for proof in writing. Obviously i didnt have this and she new i needed it altered so i had to churp up again on alterations.I t really put a downer on the whole experience, as the day i brought i was so happy, I couldnt believe how bad the after sales service is. They have a really good brand, really nice outfits, really modern store, but its a shame the staff and service is not in the slightest professional. They think once someone has paid for there outfit they have their money and dont need to bother with them. Well they have just lost a customer that would have gladley recommended then to others and also returned to them if it wernt for this whole experience. On the one hand they tell you your getting a complete bridal package then when they feel like it they change there minds. Although i love my outfit to bits, if i had known the service was going to be this bad i would have shopped elsewhere. There are plenty of other shops around that have outfits just as nice with much better service!! Everyone says you get what you pay for, but in this case i couldnt disagree more!!! Brides looking to buy there outfits from here, please beware, i wouldnt want your experiences to be ruined as mine was. My sisters and friends will definatlely NOT be buying there outfits from there Daminis now. read more

Daminis is not only expensive but the people are so rude. My sister went there to look at an outfit on the top floor at 6 pm on a tuesday so the lady said come back to try it on as its too late now. So she went back on wednesday at 4pm and the ladies said sory you cannot try the outfit on.; coz she was too lazy to work. The lady behaved in such an outragous manor that they left the place worthless to even spit on. My sister went to the manager to complain, who had by that time received a phone call from previous lady, and the manager said ' sry there is nothing that we can do about it,' with an arrogant smile!! So my sister left disgusted. She had booked a day of work just to visit this stupid place to get an outfit for a wedding back home. I phoned in to complain as my sister was really upset to be treated this way and all they said was come in to the shop, and I asked for the ladies name who I was speaking to, she said 'why should I give you my name? I dont even know what your talking about?" I told her that I am recording the whole conversation than she started speaking politly. Very bad cutomer service, definantly will never step in there again after I go there for them to apologise to my sister. No one has a right to be rude to another person, specially another persons family. They should hand the shop over to a family who know how to run a business with a good service. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Had a very bad experience in buying a wedding sherwani from them. I placed an order for which I paid £400 deposit. When I went to collect my sherwani from them (once it had arrived from india), it was the same design but a completely different colour. The shop staff tried to convince me that I had purchased the sherwani in the colour that they were providing. Subsequently they tried to hide my receipt in order to destroy any evidence of what I had actually ordered but I caught them red handed. They even went to the extent to say that I had chosen the wrong day of the week for the wedding and if it had been on a different day then they would have more time to get another replacement shipped from India. In the end I had all the evidences with me, I had photocopies of the receipts and also I had a pic of what i had ordered from the day that I initially went in to try the suit and they had to cough up my money and give me a refund. My advice would be to not waste your time with these people as they have no sense of what customer service really means. read more

This is a message for those who are thinking of shopping in this awful shop. DO NOT SHOP IN THIS PLACE, They are total sharks .Just few days ago my sister put £300.00 deposit on a Wedding Lenga and made a rushed decision. She called the shop numerous times and after several phone calls and being left on hold for over half an hour at one point, the owner came on the phone and agreed along with the shop manager, her name is Ravi , that they would not refund her purchase but will allow her to exchange for something else. Well my sister went to the shop the next day and spoke with Ravi and she allowed my sister to spent 3hours choosing something.Then when she went to the till to make the exchange the shop manager Ravi refuse to exchange even though the shop owner and her agreed the day before.Other customers intervened and said to the shop manager they should exchange for my sister as it was only honourable but they again refused.They kept my sisters £300.00, customer care is non exist. read more

DECEITFUL & UNPRINCIPLED! I placed a deposit on an outfit then later decided that I wanted something else. On the phone, the manager Ravi and Damini herself AGREED that I can make an exchange despite it being over 7days. On arrival, Ravi looked at my receipt (& kept it next to the till) & allowed me to browse however when I chose a saree (of equal value to my deposit) & came to make the exchange Ravi LIED & said there was no agreement and started preaching the 7day policy! She also conveniently lost my receipt, luckily I took a pic of it on my phone & after showing her..the paper receipt reappeared! Long story short, Ravi with help from her incompetent & abrasive assistant denied that there was EVER an agreement for an exchange. I can only assume that they hoped I would exchange for a more expensive piece & when I didn't, they refused. I left the store with nothing but absolute disgust. read more

Oh my god.. I hate Damini's! Their clothes are nice.. if you want to pay £500+ Any clothes under that price range are not only disgustingly ugly but poor quality clothing. I recently bought a churidar for my daughter and when we went to an event, the sequins and the threading started coming off. It was also really uncomfortable for my child and she eventually had to take it off. I really recommend you try some of the other shops on Green Street before you come to Damini's. Meant to be premium shopping but its really not!! read more
