First time at Nectar this morning, I just moved into the area and honestly, I probably won't be…read moreback. Hear me out, from what I gather the food is pretty good here. I got the avocado toast, but too much feta on it I took most of it off. Other than that, it's good. I spent $31 total not realizing the avocado toast came with two slices instead of one, the price made just a little more sense. I also got the chocolate chia pudding with strawberries and bananas on top, that was good, hard to mess that up though. And finally I got a pistachio matcha latte. I will say yumm to that one. Now, when I go to a coffee shop to sit and enjoy, the ambiance matters so much to me, especially for when I go alone like I did today. The music they're playing? Hotel lobby music. It's fine, eh, not the worst but not enjoyable at all either. I'd suggest for them to get a better playlist asap. My recommendation is look up chill coffee house music on Spotify or something. It's not hard to make a place more enjoyable, you just have to put in a little more work. Music is so important to us, it sets the mood, enhances your energy levels, your domaine levels. Pay attention to this. This comes to my next point, the furniture? Tacky. It's that cheap furniture with the "gold" legs to make the place "look" fancy. The chairs are so thin and uncomfortable actually. It's funny when a place decorates a place "simply" and think it looks good when you can tell no real direction was implied. Did they ask themselves "how do I want my customers to feel when they sit in here?" Doubt it. Don't get me started on the tacky pink telephone booth that looks like Legally Blondes Wedding Planner threw up on it. It makes no sense for the space. The sugar caddies on the table are ugly. The white wall with the green letters spelling NECTAR needs color, needs paint. It's boring. Add some real life, love, and vibes to the place, and you'll have a solid joint. Ask yourselves the reason for opening a coffee shop in the first place. Was it just for the money, the profit? Makes sense. But did you actually have love for the idea of bringing people together? A love for quality conversations, and good energy, good food and drinks and for people to say things about your creation like "have you been to Nectar before?! Wow it's so good, it's my favorite coffee shop. It's beautiful in there and all of their food and drinks are amazing!" Because I promise you, although your food and drinks seems to be good from I'm reading, you're not people's favorite coffee shop. Do more, do better. With love, Alyssa.

They have done a great job to set up the lobby have three areas with super nice benches around the wall. Perfect for the group chatting. I tried the Qishr for the first time. Light than a regular coffee, more like tea body. With some ginger taste and very little sweetness. It took about 10 mins to make. I liked it a lot. Also got the bird's nest which I highly recommend. Creamer than the regular baklava and perfect portion for us. Certainly could be one of my regulars.

The options were decent and included Turkish coffee, drip coffee, macha, lattes, and chai. The desserts looked really good and fresh. Although I didn't order food this time I would if I returned. The service.. the girls were friendly... The guy not so much. He just took the order without a smile or thank you and kept moving along. I ordered a pistachio matcha mostly because the pistachio was homemade and I love pistachios and flavors. The drink was made pretty quickly and was nice with a nutty balance. Open free parking lot with plenty of parking in the shopping area near IKEA. If I'm in the area I would return.
