I went to see Dr. Shehebar on October 3rd 2025, my sigmoid/colon is tethered to other organs & it…read morecreates a level 10 pain! due to gas back up & constipation due to my sigmoid being tethered. This man talked over me non stop! called my debilitating pain "perceived pain". He made very light of my situation while I'm still in writhing pain. Whilw speaking during my visit, he actively tried to negate everything I was saying. I understand not wanting to do surgery because it creates more scar tissue but to call my pain "perceived" was an egregious wrong on his part. He told me there is NOTHING he can do for me. He came into the house cam room instantly annoyed, and then proceeded to ask me questions when the answers were right in front of his face on the computer in my chart. I was recommended by a gynecological surgeon because what they saw in my MRI was concerning to them. this doctor could care less, especially when it comes to women. I waited two months to see this doctor just to be disrespected talked down & absolutely unequivocally not heard. he was so rude even when he did an anal exam, causing me severe pain. I feeling emotionally and physically violated. but you know I'm just a woman so we must all be crazy right? this is one of the main reasons why I only like to go to female doctors. This man because I refuse to call him a doctor now treated me like absolute shit. I went in there incredibly informed of my own health issues and it annoyed him to his core. he kept telling me he's the doctor and I was the patient and I kept telling him, but I'm the one in pain and I'm trying to tell you how my body feels and he just continued to cut me off. this man looked me dead in the eye, and said there's nothing I can do for you. unless you have a bowel blockage and are about to die I can't do nothing. I left that defeated, disgusted, and sexually assaulted. he didn't even give me a warning when he was going to try and insert a scope, let alone his finger. from the moment he came in the room until the moment he left he was rude, crude & dismissive. every question he asked I right there in my notes. Did you look at the MRI scans and the images and he would reply yes but then continue to ask me questions that he get the answers from through those MRI images. he also told me I'm not sure why you're here. Meanwhile, another NYU doctor recommended him to me and that's in my clinical notes as a recommendation, but he refused to read that then lied to me and said that he did read all my notes. I will never understand how a doctor like this with this kind of attitude can serve anyone. i'm going to find out how I can make a complaint with the medical board and with NYU because here I am still in writhing pain with no answers and no help other than a cream. my husband and I are gonna go to far links to do what we need to do because this man sent me home with the idea that my pain was perceived and not real. I don't know how to explain the frustration I feel, but no one should ever be disregarded by a doctor. nor should their severe pain be disregarded. This man has no idea what it's like to have a hysterectomy and then have adhesions afterwards. He has no idea how bad constipation and gas can hurt. If he does, he just doesn't care. He was trying to rush through my appointment when I was trying to be thorough and the more thorough I was the more annoyed he became. The doctor doesn't want an informed patient he wants to just be a puppeteer. I deal with chronic illness so I always advocate for myself. I was very kind soft-spoken and respectful. Even when he told me my pain was perceived. He doesn't see me vomiting from the pain in my home every other day so how dare he just call my pain a perception and not a reality. My CT scan images and my MRI images show exactly what's wrong and that there is a kink in my colon. This man tried telling me the colon doesn't feel pain. That's when I said you're not understanding. It's gas and it's constipation because my colon is being squeezed. He looked at me dead in the face and rolled his eyes at me. Since it's my medical visit and my medical records, I voice recorded the entire visit and you can hear how disgustingly rude and dismissive he was being. I don't recommend this doctor, especially if you're female. I am so disappointed in the NYU institution for having such a horrible human being. Serve the Brooklyn community. now to file a complaint with the medical board and with NYU as a whole. if you ever do decide to see this doctor, I beg you to proceed with caution. I beg you to do your research because everything he told me it was as if he was reading someone else's chart. This man refused to look at my CT scan images and my MRI images, but then lie to me and said he did look at them. be careful guys not every doctor gives a crap about us.

I was running a little late and called ahead of time to inform them. Fortunately I was still accommodated without any issues. Once I arrived and check in then waited in the beautiful & clean waiting for about 5 minutes. I was able to charge my device while I waited which I loved and appreciated. The exam rooms are clean and I had a good experience with the clinician named Julia. She was super sweet and professional. She asked all of the appropriate questions to get a better sense of my health history. Unfortunately the medical assistants there were unable to successfully draw my labs. They tried about 3 times but a nurse did not attempt to draw them unfortunately despite me agreeing to. I was given an outside script to go to a local Quest Diagnostics. Aside from this blood draw "issue", I had a phenomenal experience here. Not entirely sure I will need to return to this location anytime soon. Although this location is easily accessible via the R train, I prefer commuting to the Park location instead.

TLDR: Very Bizarre Experience that left a very negative impact on my son and me…read more My son had a freak accident and fell, hurt his right foot. Went to CityMD... they did X-rays, told us it's a "small bone fracture". Referred us to a podiatrist - Deloor Podiatry. Went literally 3 days later and we saw Dr. Francis. She was amazing with my son. She told him "his season was over" but at least he didn't need a cast. She advised us to take care of it, elevate the injured foot, ice daily to reduce swelling, don't put weight on it, wear the boot. Her diagnosis - "the fracture will heal by itself, in about 4-5 weeks. Gave him a script for ibuprofen." And to get new x-rays and return in 2 weeks. We left assured and informed. Then it went downhill. A week went by, the office called telling me we have an appointment to see Dr. Jose Loor... and that we needed to come in right away. I let the office know - my son didn't get his x-rays done yet and it hasn't been 2 weeks! What is going on? And what happened to Dr. Francis?!! The receptionist simply says: "oh, no you are to see Dr. Loor now. Dr. Francis is not here anymore." WHAT?! Ok, it will be fine. They have my son's details and file. After we got the new x-rays done at Lenox Hill Radiology, we made the appt to go back to see Dr. Loor. Checked in. Paid a $30 co-pay. Met Dr. Loor, he examined my son's injured foot. Proceeds to ask "how did you injured your foot? Where is the pain?" Then he says "He needs surgery to remove the small piece of bone fragment." And a slew of details about what needs to happen, get his PCP to clear him for surgery, right away. This Saturday is open". I asked - "what about the new X-rays? Does it show the foot has worsen?". He then went to check the X-rays. Continues to tell us "surgery is the best option and we should get it done ASAP. Otherwise he will be in a hard cast for 12 weeks." I was dizzy from the fast pace sales pitch for surgery. Before we left, he made the receptionist scheduled us back in 2 days. (She even questioned him... in 2 days?). I took the referral note for my son's PCP. Full stop. I asked my son's PCP, does he need surgery? She recommended a 2nd opinion. We did. 2nd opinion says "he's 17, it's mending by itself. Give it 2-3 weeks and use the boot." Never looked back. Please parents - do what's best for your child. Due diligence check and go with your gut. My gut told me - "don't jump to surgery, not everything the doctor says is gospel. Surgeons always like to CUT. But not always the only option". PSA: I'm not sure if anyone else experienced this but I received numerous calls from multiple "different" individuals working for this podiatry office - constant hounding for me to schedule the surgery. Even after I said "No. We are not moving forward with surgery and will be getting a 2nd opinion." - 3 different people called me. Then Dr. Loor called me to confirm surgery. He tells me "Dr. Francis is not a surgeon, she wouldn't know what to recommend."Just WOW. Threw his own colleague under the bus. Either (1) they don't connect with each other or (2) it's a high pressure sales tactic to ensure you go through with surgery. Please check your insurance activity! Good luck.

I went to this pain management practice for 3 herniated cervical discs. The pain was so intense and…read morelasting that I would wind up in the ER, vomiting. My PCP wrote a referral for pain management and this was the first practice that didn't treat me as a drug-seeking addict. Not only did they treat pain stemming from this cause, but also from a hereditary bad lower spine. There were tests, which also discovered tumors in my thyroid. Without this, I would never have gotten them biopsies. So far so good. They tried epidurals and nerve blocks, which did not work for me, and I wound up with prescription pain management. No more ER visits. I was able to sleep lying down for all but the rare, intense, breakthrough pain. But even the duration of this was shortened. Sadly, I moved out of the area and had to seek pain management in another state, where pain patients were looked upon as suspect. It took months to find anyone who would treat me, and would up going cold turkey off the medication I had brought in my move. After several months they decided they didn't want to treat pain patients anymore. They gave me a 1 month supply and told me (and others), to hit the road. This time I weaned myself off the medication gradually, but the pain returned as it left my system. It took 5 months and the intercession of my State Senator's office to find a practice which would treat my pain.
