I've been going to Ryan Less for many years for herbs and acupuncture and supplements. Even after…read moreI moved to Florida, I continued to consult with him for herbs that he would ship to me for certain conditions and I try to get in for acupuncture when I am in Pittsfield for the summer. I also have several herbal formulas from Ryan I keep on hand to use any time I start getting a cold or flu. It's like my own herbal doctor kit. He has helped my wife on numerous occasions with health issues and aches and pains and really helped my mother after another local acupuncturist gave her the wrong herbs and made her condition worse. I consistently hear from friends in the Berkshires that Ryan is the best in the Berkshires at what he does, that he fixed their shoulder, or whatever issue they had, but he is so humble he will never say such a thing, he gives all the credit to the herbs and needles. If you have an ache or pain or something the doctor hasn't been able to fix, I highly recommend calling Ryan.

Kacey is great. Do get your appointment now…read more What I like most about Kacey is that she has a gentle and confident touch. She made it easy during my very first acupuncture treatment. In addition, she took a full relevant medical history (under HIPPAA privacy rules) and explained carefully what acupuncture could do for me. But the absolute best is that I had a fast result! I was also having physical therapy at another location. The therapist remarked that I had the fastest recovery for my ailment of any patient he had every seen. Was that the combination of Kacey and PT? We will never know, but that is what I believe. Get your appointment and feel good about it.

First had cupping and then put needles in, first in my back then front of torso. Most I did not even feel. A few when I had painful spots hurt a little, but nothing extreme. So far satisfied what was done. Will have another scheduled.

These guys have a sliding scale of $20-$50 depending on whether you just want ear acupuncture ($20-$40) or a more full treatment ($30-$50). It works using lounge chairs circled in a large room and everyone is treated there. (With clothes on of course) Personally I like it better then individual rooms which sometimes feel a little claustrophobic to me. The price makes it affordable enough to go every week so the acupuncture has time to work :) They offer appointments as well as drop in on a space available basis.

I'm proud to say that I'm devoted to donating blood…read more You can donate anywhere, but I'm going to tell you why you should donate on your local Bloodmobile or to your local blood bank. If you donate locally, the blood stays in your community and helps to keep your blood bank at its capacity should there be a need (and there is *always* a need for blood for many, many reasons.) If you donate to an organization such as the Red Cross, your blood goes to its nearest Red Cross blood distribution center (which for me, is about three hours away.) It costs money and takes time to get blood when you need it if you don't have your blood bank replenished locally. I'm not saying don't donate to the Red Cross, that'd be absurd. Especially if there is a national need for blood. Please, please, please donate any way possible. But for me, the Bloodmobile is the way to go. Mine is with Berkshire Health Systems. I was scared at first because I'm terrified by needles and totally oogey about it, but there is nothing scary about donating on the Bloodmobile. Its comfortable, the nurses are *extremely* good at what they do. The process is quick and painless. And we always have a few laughs. I have never had a bad experience. Make sure you drink plenty of water before you donate, and have a well balanced meal before hand. I am so oogey about the needle, that they even set me up then cover everything up so I don't have to see anything. They're accomodating and make the whole thing completely stress free. I would send anyone and everyone to donate on the Bloodmobile. Its the coolest thing around.
