Dr. Tylor was such a gift to our family. We had a similar story to some of the reviewers -- our infant son had an obstructed airway and tongue-tie. Being our first baby, we were extremely concerned about his issues with his passage way. Unfortunately, no medical professionals were diagnosing him. They were stumped. We finally got referred to Dr. Tylor, right around the time our son turned 10 months. At our first appointment, she walked into the treatment room and was able to diagnose him in 30 seconds by just looking at him. She was able to suggest a treatment plan going forward and didn't want to waste anytime. She happily answered about a million questions. Fast forward to his outpatient surgery before his first birthday, everything went off without a hitch. Her surgical team was amazing and you could just tell they respect her as the expert. Our son got a cold after surgery, and Dr. Tylor answered my frantic calls and texts around 11pm at night. I think most importantly what I want to say is...having a baby is hard already. We were already so stressed out, and Dr. Tylor treated him as if he was her son. I will never be able to thank her enough for her care and expertise. He was a different child after the surgery. I think it's time someone shared their experience with Dr. Dale A. Tylor and she should be given recognition for her professionalism and patient care. Dr Tylor was referred by my MD due to my unilateral tinnitus and muffled hearing. Her bedside manner as a physician is commendable and shows her compassion for her patients needs. She listened and gave her full undivided attention as I shared my symptoms. I never felt rushed for both appointments with her. The office has another ENT doctor which is reassuring as they can both collaborate for patient diagnosis/treatment if the need arises. As they say, two heads are better than one. Her staff were efficient and the office was able to accommodate me even with their busy schedule when all other ENT offices I called could only see patients 1 month later (don't know why it's so hard to get appointments with ENT doctors!). Dr Tylor even stayed over office hours on my second appointment to take care of my discomfort. She also personally made calls to book and secure me an appointment with another ear specialist/surgeon as it turns out that my case is a more complicated issue. On other things, the office is a bit dated but who cares about all that if they can deliver quality care. The audiologist was soft spoken and had a calming manner that made you feel at ease in her enclosed sound chamber. The front office staff was friendly and respectful when you check in and out of the office. They also made sure that they return calls in a timely manner. I recommend this practice to people looking for an ENT in the Bay Area. read more

Consulted Dr Tylor for an ailment after seeing two specialists. Busy practice and took about two-three weeks to make the appointment. Dr Tylor's office is nestled in the corner of a third floor medical building across from Walgreens and the Washington Hospital (West). Although quite a few patients were in the waiting room, Dr Tylor proved to be exceedingly patient and comprehensive in her consultation once the examination room door was closed. Dr Tylor was excellent, listening attentively and offering guidance and treatment. Very accommodating to all questions and personally helped with paperwork in faxing over a document to a pharmacy. Further recommended supplemental reading material to further my understanding of the issue at hand, not to mention a related ailment Dr Tylor also diagnosed. The treatment regimen has worked well. It has been a bit challenging to work with the office staff in coordinating follow-up questions and prescriptions, but Dr Tylor's care is highly recommended. read more

Dr Tylor is such a caring doctor, after being in the ER with severe pain her office scheduled me in the very next day. She was kind, concerned and offered great advice as to where I should go for the treatment for the massive headaches (ER thought it was a blocked sinus cavity) which obviously they didn't have my entire history. No words can express how great Dr. Tylor is. After having an antibiotic resistant ear infection for three weeks, Dr. Tylor conducted an urgent ear surgery to put a drainage tube through my eardrum so it wouldn't explode. She explained the procedure well and was not forceful in conducting the surgery, as she offered to not do so which gave much relief of pressure and stress to the myself as a nervous reck as a patient. Her work was quick and she seemed quite knowledgable. After the surgery, she quickly set up follow-up appointments to see how the recovery was going with hearing tests and visual checkups, which shows care. The office was clean, but the front desk person was a bit overwhelmed. Overall, I recommend Dr. Tylor for medical needs! read more

Dr. Tylor saved us! My 2 year-old son stuck one of his small toys far up his nose late yesterday afternoon - Saturday before Mother's Day. My wife and I wanted to avoid the emergency room since we were in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, so we called Dr. Tylor. She saw us immediately, turned on some cartoons to settle my son down, explained the procedure to the both of us, showed him her tools, and removed the toy. We were in and out in about a half an hour and even gave my son a lollipop. She demonstrated experience, calm bedside manner and was so thoughtful. I would highly recommend Dr. Tylor. read more

We went to see other Doctor in town earlier this yr. and they found she have fluids on her ears, checked her hearing test and of course infants cry really loud and they couldn't get the exact result. And they want to repeat same procedure the next time they see her, and being a mom I am skeptical coz I know she will still do the same cry loud inside that testing room with me. Then they prescribed antibiotic and went back to the office for the follow up check up. She was having colds that time so they still saw some fluids on her ears. They scheduled surgery for her. But never called the hospital for the surgery. Then someone recommend us to see Dr. Dale Tylor and that time they don't accept insurance and still working on the medical insurance and other insurance company and we waited like 2 weeks and called them again, good thing the accept insurance already. Then we called our pediatrician for another referral, good thing they're able to process the referral like STAT. Called the Riviera ENT clinic and made the appointment to schedule with Dr. Tylor. When we we're at her clinic she checked my daughter, she had tongue tie and able to do the surgery right away in less than 10 mins she finished the surgery. After a month went to see her just for follow up check up and saw some fluids on her ears but not as bad as the last time then checked again 2 weeks later there's a little fluid coz of her colds. And she's very accommodating that anything gets worst just not to hesitate call the clinic and she's going to see my daughter again. After 3 months she scheduled us and we saw her, everything clear on her ears, previous surgery was looking good. The only thing I want to be done is her upper lip she have a lip tie. But due to covid-19we are going to wait few months and maybe do the surgery and she's going to check her ears again. She's very up to her patients wants to make sure everything is fine not just with 1 or 2 visits. And also all my questions she's able to answer clear and understandable. Dr. Tylor was amazing. Our baby was a patient of hers, after she was recommended by the head of pediatrics at Marian Medical Center. My son was born with a smaller than normal airway, unbeknownst to us, and thanks to Dr. Tylor, we can now treat the issues he was having as a result of it. She changed our lives. Warning: Do not ask them if they take your insurance. I told them what my insurance was, told over phone they took it but after driving there and waiting in the office, I was taken into a room and told they didn't take it and then she tried to talk me into paying cash and getting reimbursed by my insurance later. I cannot express enough how great Dr. Tylor and her staff are. I brought my two month in who was diagnosed with a lip and tongue tie. The revision was done that day! My LO had colic, gas, reflux, and having a hard time nursing or not even really nursing at all. He was on Zantac, gas drops, colic calm, you name it. I was at a loss. I found Dr. Tylor from a tongue tie support group on Facebook. Dr. Tylor was knowledgable and made me feel like she truly was concerned, and cared what was going on. She explained everything that she was going to do and even allowed me in the room while she did it. During this I had my 13 month old with me as well. She could tell how upset I was and said I could leave if I needed to which I did. While in my room one of her staff members came in and comforted me as well as turned the situation from stressful to relaxing as she laughed and played with my 13 month old. Once the procedure was done Dr. Tylor made the situation even more relaxing by saying how well he did! She brought him back in and he was great! She explained all the after care in detail and gave me resources to go to for after care as well! It's only been one day since revision and there has been a vast improvement. My two month old is nursing successfully, there has been no gas or fussiness. It was the best decision I ever made and I couldn't have done it without the honesty of Dr. Tylor. TL;DR If you suspect your baby has tongue-tie, RUN, do not walk, to see Dr. Tylor! Great experience (as much as these things can be). We brought in our 3 week old baby who had tongue-tie and upper-lip tie based on a referral from a lactation consultant. Dr. Tylor was patient, knowledgeable, professional and re-assuring. She took the time (even running into her own lunch so that she had to dash across the street for a sandwich) to explain things to us. Believe me, as stressed out new parents with a baby who is not feeding well we had a LOT of questions and concerns. She introduced the procedure to eliminate tongue-tie and talked through all the aspects, and helped put us at ease - it's not a fun procedure, but she made it as easy as could be expected. She also set up and was able to do the procedure in-office - once all the prep and explanation was done, it only took 5 minutes, and then we were done. Now, baby's tongue-tie and upper-lip tie are gone, the procedure site has recovered to normal with no complications and we think it's contributing to baby's ability to feed better. read more

I'm newly back to Goleta, CA and had a cough/nasal problem for months. Got in to see Dr. Tylor on a cancellation. She ordered a chest x -ray and that was the best thing! There was a spot. I've seen Dr. Tylor about twice now and she has made me feel comfortable both times with her caring approach. I've had issues with my ears since a young age but only recently had been under her care. She is patient and doesn't dismiss your problems and actually tells and explains things to you in a way that you can understand- using easy vocab and will work with you as you explain your problems by giving advice on how to go about solving that problem. I think since she has worked with kids she is flexible and can understand adults as well. Also I appreciate that she keeps her notes organized and that we get to keep any papers if we ask. read more
