They put a ton of effort and detail into education through an arrange of activities, participating in holidays, and they introduce extracurricular activities (sports, drama, etc) - which is so instrumental in navigating personal interests early on. There are 3 nearby playgrounds to choose from, great for recess and play dates after pickup. Parents follow along via an app, which is constantly updated with photos, notes on each child from the day, and weekly learning calendars. Couldn't recommend more!

We have found the teachers, for both infants and toddlers, to be incredibly supportive of his development at each stage. We also utilize the late stay option and have had a great experience with the supplemental activities -- music, yoga, soccer, Spanish, for example -- and liked that this part of the day was often with teachers from other rooms and kids from different classrooms and of other ages. Everyone is so happy there (almost no teacher turnover from what I can tell), which was immediately apparent to me from my first visit. The administrative staff is incredibly responsive and similarly supportive. We appreciate the organized, clear, and frequent communications. It truly feels like a family as the staff supports parent/family connections and for each classroom, we have had a WhatsApp chat with parents to organize meet ups, with and without our kids. After an exhausting search for daycare and a bad experience at another center (since closed), I can say with certainty that BBOG is a very special place and I always felt my son was safe, loved, and having a great time with his classmates and his teachers.

The back-end administration of ABC might not be the smoothest or most modern, but they are good at what is truly most important. Our son is thriving at ABC and is given great and loving care throughout. Since we started, communication has been great and the teachers are very involved in reaching milestones and creating a stimulating environment for the kids. Our son always smiles when he sees the teachers and is just the happiest little guy which ABC is definitely to be thankful for. I'm hoping other people can see through the potential 'weird' first impression vibes because they absolutely deserve to get credit for all they do!

As soon we could pull him and transfer him to another daycare, we did - and he had but one week left at ABC. I'm sad to say that the level of care provided since we annouced our departure during that week has deteriorated even further. He came home dirty, with other kids' clothes, and just now we had received an awful photo showing a substantial bruise on his head. We picked him up right away and we'll never be going back. Avoid this place if you can, as they are unprofessional, with sub-par standards, do not adhere to their own policies - and I would generally say that in my view they only care about (i) the money, and (ii) putting up a reasonable appearance to get you through the door. Avoid at all costs.

I tried to push through but was then checkin in by the horrible staff member who didnt end smile. Didnt even tell me the total when paying for my two children = $23 + $18 = $41 nor have a receipt. I was told it would be emailed, but never got that either. The cost came with an open room with worn down items, broken toys, no coffee station (even though there is a sign), and not even a stocked bathroom. Toys were bent, old, overly used and wearing off. Even the bins from IKEA were falling apart.. IKEA items should be easily replaced as they are cheap. The facilities was worn down as well, paint chipped or peels off on seating area and slides. Mural is still nice. The "cafe" area seating was pushed to the wall, not allowing a place to sit while the worker was putting streamers on a board for the private room. There is no water fountain to refill your water bottle. Again, advertised coffee and tea.. when asked was told "nothing, you can go to starbucks" as I pointed to the sign the worker said "OH"! I had to give the front desk girl broken items and she left in the lobby area!! I can see her just putting them back in after we leave in order not to deal with it. As a representative of the space, she was horribly spaced out with a negative demeanor as if she hates her job. Private room for classes and parties is cute... I believe this is where their energy goes to. I can see it good for a 1 year bday party. Ages 2 and over for open play with bore out fast. I reflect constently on how truly disappointing it was!!

Right inside the door there's a stroller parking area, which was quite crowded but we made it work. The class was full of moms, dads, other nannies, and tons of kiddos mostly ages 1.5-4. The music teacher was really charming with the kids, had lots of songs prepared, and boxes of instruments with easy rhythm games, and ways to get adults involved as well. We had a blast! There's a fairly large playroom outside of the classroom that has soft jungle gym toys, a big wooden play kitchen, lots of pretend food, balls, a huge safe space to play. I also noticed lots of cleaner nearby, which was a relief, I bet a place like that gets a lot of germs real quick. The parents of my little charge told me that I can always take him there, especially on a rainy day, its only $10 for the whole day.

For six days, it was quoted $954. I need to send my kids and pay that because I am a Contractor hourly worker. September 1st, they called us even before lunch and said they have covid + case we need to pick up our twins. And the same day was my twins' birthday. We prepare goodie bags, cake etc. I understand they couldn't cut the cake because of the emergency, but they gave all the goodie bags away, not even singing the happy birthday song to my twins. Nobody thanked them for goodie bags; as you can imagine, the kids were very upset. They were asking me, "why everyone's birthday cake cut but not ours." Going back to the remaining days, they told us the school had to shut down for 14 days. I just paid six days for nothing. I basically paid $954 for half-day because they refused to refund me. I understand the circumstances if we are their ongoing family, of course, I can't ask that for an emergency days' refund. But I only made payment for the 14 days shut down period. It's beyond unfair to pay $954 for a half-day. I paid for the service I didn't receive. The worst part is I only paid that money to be able to work for my hourly job. I spent almost my week's work and was not able to work for the time being. The school gave us a discount eight months ago, and with not refunding my payment for the last six days they found a way to get back that discount. Not to response: I don't think the department of Health dictates you not to refund people. It's in your hands to refund, and you think it's fair to get paid for half day of service, that shows until when you care about your families. I would love to support a small business, but your business does not care about my situation at all as person who lost full time job because of Covid. We should be on the same boat on this understand each other. Sadly that wasn't the case.

Our daughter was in a massive disorganized corporate daycare we were unhappy with, and after switching, we noticed an immediate change in her. She does not want to leave daycare! She loves Kasia and all of the other teachers. I also appreciate the eco-friendliness of products and playthings, how they accommodate my family's vegetarian diet, the healthy fun diverse food they serve the students, the Montessori-style teaching, the love of books, the amount of time they spend outdoors. I'm a bit of a crunchy mama, and this place is perfect for our family! They update parents frequently with the app and are super responsive (which I really appreciate). When the daycare closed during COVID, we appreciated the zoom playdates, the art classes, and seeing Kasia over video. My husband and I really want to move into a bigger apartment, but we would not leave Greenpoint, this being the biggest reason. We are so happy with the daycare that I imagine we would be disappointed anywhere else. Best daycare ever!!!!

When we were exploring local options, we knew our decision would be based on where we felt he would be 1) safe, 2) healthy and 3) loved. Everywhere we toured, we felt like he'd be safe and healthy. What set Two By Two apart was that we felt like he'd would be cared for by professionals who created genuine, authentic connections - as aunties, as kin. He was so little and our care priorities were more about him feeling seen, heard and addressed. Now that he's approaching Kindergarten, he's getting the same care while also getting support with socialization, learning emotional regulation, and the basics of academics (letter and number recognition, phonics). He has a group of close friends, uses feeling statements and is reading sight words and writing his name. All huge wins without robotic structure or impersonal instruction- which while inevitable in our school systems can wait until the elementary years. Two By Two continues to make progress in communication, family engagement and facilities. We've seen growth here and have been grateful for their request for feedback and impressed to see it implemented. Considering our care priorities and the experience that our son and we have had here, we will continue to recommend Two By Two to our neighbors and friends.

From the inside your kids can be too stressed, they do not being encouraged and patient. Kids are being kept in dark small rooms without A/C in the summer. Most of the activities done are being stage for parents, just look at the pictures on their website, why all this kids don't smile? Also ladies are not too happy to bee there. Construction next door is taking forever creating bad dusty air around the area. Kids are exposed to asbestos and who know what ales. I am not recommending this place to your kids. He appears under different names, but the content of his review is exactly the same, grammar errors included. I find his actions childish (no pun intended considering the review). My child, a boy, has been attending this preschool for the past 10 months and I have nothing less than a positive opinion of the place. The staff has been wonderful. The kids are fed 4 home cooked meals every day. The children are divided into two age groups which helps the older ones by making the daily activities more challenging for them. Each day of the week has a specific theme and children learn either music, art, science, math or language depending on the day. A few times a week my son brings home wonderful artwork which might have been done with some assistance, but is far from perfect. The director of the preschool strikes me as someone who really loves her job, and rarely do you meet anyone that energized about work. Recently, the whole preschool put on a play to celebrate Fall. I loved it! The kids did wonderfully. My son, who's first language is English, even recited a poem in Polish. Most importantly, he likes going there, he likes his teachers, and he sometimes even surprises me with the songs, letters and numbers he learned. This preschool is well worth your consideration if you're looking for a place to send your child in the Greenpoint area.
