Great Campground, Small friendly and right on Lake Ontario. Make it you home while exploring western NY's attractions.

Note-the tent sites didn't offer a ton of privacy, it was kind of open. It was very close to two bathrooms. It was very quiet. We were so impressed upon arrival. Everything was well marked and clean. The general store has a little bit of everything. The staff was helpful and friendly. They offered a lot of family friendly activities. We were there during their harvest festival weekend. They offered hay rides and cider and donuts by their bon fire the first night we were there. Almost all of their activities are included. They charge a fee for their zip lines. They offer free pedal bike usage alongwith boat usage. It is conveniently located to Niagara Falls. They offer late check-in and even check in for folks who don't have a reservation, if they have availability Saturday morning the store opened at 9 AM a little late for us since we were on the road by 845. We were hoping to buy acup of coffee (they have $2 K-cups).

I did reach out to them to inform them I would be arriving late and they gave us instructions to follow for after hours. The only thing that was had to follow were the signed. Over all the location was nice. The bathrooms were very clean. Both the electricity and water worked great. Over all a great experience and super close drive to see the falls on the NY side.

Checking in is easy and you can buy campfire wood and ice from the main office, and they'll even deliver it right to your campsite which was nice because there was no way I was gonna be able to carry 4 bundles of wood ($5 each) on my bike. They do have a nice playground. Not sure if I mentioned that in my first review. This is a good campground for families. The only thing I negative I can say about this place, and it isn't even their fault so I won't deduct any stars, is that there's a dairy farm right across the street from the entrance out on the main road so if the wind blows just right you get that awful ammonia and poop smell throughout the campground.

Even though it was early May, and camping yurts and other things in park, weren't open, hardly anyone at park with it being offseason, we sure did enjoy the exploration of the park. Sadly we didn't check out the light house, as it was closed. The playground replica of the Point Light House was fun to go on, yes, as an adult, Ill admit we both enjoyed letting out our inner child. The nature trails may have been a bit muddy from recent rain, but easy to manage, recommend if you check park out after rain, wear hiking boots, or sneakers you don't mind getting dirty. Perfect for anyone whose a nature lover.

The Niagara Shores Campground is overall an awesome experience. I stayed in the hotel and it was…read morevery clean and spacious. My room was decked out in a cabin like theme and there were plenty of pillows and charge spots. The campground is peaceful and quiet, and my favorite spot to go was the little outdoor chapel in the evening during the sunset. I would definitely recommend this place for a family or even for a solo traveler. Some improvements would be the path down to the water. It was very full of weeds and I was a little nervous about getting a tick due to the path being not cleared. Also, I had some issues with the food that my stomach just didn't agree with, specifically with the taco night. Everything else about the campground was pleasant, calm, and very relaxing. I would still recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a little bit from the craziness of life.

The website promised a swimming pool, mini golf and other fun things to do, like volleyball and basketball. The pool was half full and closed, The mini golf was broken and run down and closed, there were no basketballs or volleyballs to be found. I was not informed of any of this before my trip. I reached out to the owner and he said to me that if we just came to swim and play mini golf then that's not what it's about. I was extremely insulted by this, as I explained, you promised these things on your website and I was not told any differently before arriving. He said that the mini golf was ruined by people in May and that the pool was up and running the third week of June. That was an outright lie, considering we started there from June 21-24. Please note that we also listened to him walking around our first night there, telling different campers how he bought this place as a retirement plan and it hasn't worked out, and he had no idea how much money he would need to put into this place. That should not be an issue for the campers who have rented sites expecting some completely different place with the things that were promised on the website. Blaming the victim is not a good look for a business owner. He did not offer me a refund and did not even say he was sorry that things were not as promised. The best he could do was offer me a free night if I rented a night. What a ridiculous answer.
