Two weeks ago my husband called Dr. Aly's office because I was in excruciating pain. I have Lupus…read moreand Sjögren's, so I know pain--but this was different and I had already been in and out of the hospital. The office manager told my husband multiple times that Dr. Aly couldn't help me and that I needed to see pain management, with zero empathy or concern. Later that same night I was rushed to the ER. Doctors discovered I had blood clots and needed a blood infusion. I was diagnosed with DVT and placed on blood thinners. Now I'm experiencing severe side effects and the ER instructed me to contact my PCP to change the medication. When I called the office today, Veronica muted the phone instead of placing me on hold and after about 10 minutes the call was disconnected. I was dismissed as having a "pain management issue" when in reality I had life-threatening blood clots. Dr. Aly himself may be fine, but his office staff is extremely concerning. Patients deserve to be heard and taken seriously.

I only saw the doctor for a total of 15 minutes the entire stay and he only spoke, maybe, a total of 15 words to me! Very disappointed!! This doctor milked my insurance company by ordering every test imaginable but did not go over any results with me. He released me from the hospital with a hemoglobin level of 8.5?? way below the 12.0 level that is the normal range. I had to make an emergency appt with a Hematologist who immediately ordered an iron infusion for me. My experience with this doctor was a nightmare.

Unfortunately, I had the misfortune of having Dr. Ferguson be the on-call doctor when my father was…read moreill. He had a colon bleed and had 4 bleed episodes within a 3 1/2 hour period. He's old and weak and I was quite worried. It's the 2nd incident of bleeding in a year. More reason to worry. The last time it had happened, we had gone to the hospital and waited forever as people usually do in ERs. They checked him out, ordered a colonoscopy which we had done the next day, and they found diverticulosis. Anyway, without getting into too much medical detail, like I said, he had another bleed episode. When Dr. Ferguson called back, I explained the situation and she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't judge the situation since she hasn't seen the patient, hasn't measured how much blood was lost, and if a transfusion is necessary. So, then I explained it again and asked, very patiently, if I should take my dad to the hospital. I don't know if I should've. I'm not a doctor. I'm already scared to death and I'm so worried, and she tells me, AGAIN, that she cannot judge the situation and cannot tell me if we should go to the hospital or not. At this point, I get angry. I ask her with some sarcasm that she, being a doctor, a specialist, couldn't tell me if a patient who is bleeding out of their a$$-hole should be taken to the hospital. She repeated that she could not. I asked again and she said no because she couldn't judge. I lost it. Almost in tears, I told her that if something happens to my father that it'll be on her. I told her that I would report her and she then proceeded to tell me her full name, like she didn't care if I did. So, I don't know about reporting her but I do know that I don't want anyone else to experience this doctor and her poor people skills, her lack of empathy, her lack of sympathy, and her disregard for a patient and their suffering. She is with a Memorial Hermann group and her primary group is in Wharton and they have offices in Sugar Land and in Rosenberg. Because of her, I will be going back to Methodist. Bye Dr. Jaffri...because he was on vacay and I had to experience Dr. Ferguson, we won't be seeing him either.

Dr. Ferguson is, in a word, terrible. I don't have any idea how she stays in practice. Reading…read morethese reviews, I can see that my experience was not at all unique. Though I escaped physical harm, she did manage to frighten and upset me in a simple office consultation. She was rude and impatient to the point of seeming to be unstable. I left and cancelled further appointments. I'll get referrals to anyplace else. I've never encountered such an unprofessional "professional!"

All of those specialist have told me I have CVS and they have been working with me on it. We actually have a page on Facebook venting about medical professionals like the ones at your hospital...but no people like the nurses at your hospital drive us to wanting to kill ourselves because yall constantly blame it on CHS which is such a cop out. How dare you belittle my suffering and tell me that all of the specialists I have seen are less intelligent than your backwoods little nurses. I WILL DIE BEFORE GOING TO THIS HOSPITAL AGAIN. I will be telling every CVS patient I know to avoid this hospital as well. You clearly don't care about your patients.
