I was initially impressed with the spa, the reception experience, and the waiting area. I arrived early as directed but after my appointment was supposed to start the receptionist told me my therapist had just called out sick. They had a replacement but I might have to wait a little while. I wasn't thrilled but I told her as long as I got the hour and treatment I paid for it would be okay.
A few minutes later a therapist showed up, faster than expected so great. I explained to her which treatment I wanted, but after she helped me get changed she started prepping me for a completely different treatment. I stopped her, repeated what I wanted, and she said oh I don't usually do that treatment. Then she left the room for a few minutes and when she came back she said it's OK I'm going to take care of you.
I spent the first 20 minutes of my hour wondering if I was going to get the treatment I ordered and requested, which was not at all relaxing. The therapist was nice, but the treatment was just OK, and didn't include the footbath described on the treatment menu. At the end of the treatment the therapist repeated that she doesn't usually do the treatment and gave me an explanation I hadn't asked for about how she'd been in a meeting and they'd pulled her to do the treatment because they were short.
I know things happen beyond anyone's control, but they shouldn't have affected my experience. As a guest I shouldn't know about your staffing problems. I'm there to have a massage and relax, not feel like you're going out of your way to give me only some of what I paid for. Will not be going back. read more
