A-OK... I am between 3 or 4 stars. I will complete the 20…read moreclasses I bought through groupon but I am extremely disappointed in the fact that they pressure you into buying a pair of gloves. The groupon deal said that it is a $40 for 20 classes that is awesome but the catch is you must buy a $25 pair of gloves from the site itself which is "half-off" because you're a newbie due to liability issues. It doesn't make any sense because I signed a waiver form saying they are not responsible for any damages to my own body -- i.e. if I injure myself. They said gloves are not covered by their insurance which I thought was a little uhh okay. I brought my own gloves that were exactly the same, though smaller and fit my hands better. I didn't have a choice because I want to complete the 20 classes! argh!! So I ended up dropping $65 for 1 - 2 months of classes! The class itself is taught by one of two teachers -- Master Paul and Carlos. Carlos had some great workout routines and I was sweating my ass off for the hour in class (but it was also like, 80,000 degrees in there). Have yet to attend Paul's class. This is NOT a place to go if you want to really learn to do kickboxing and are in serious shape. Master Paul let me know that this was a martial arts school that offers kickboxing as a fitness class. Form and technique aren't really taught here unless you're taking a class with M. Paul. This is a basic course for people who need to pay money to have someone push you into working out for a good hour (like me at the moment because I like to lie around my house and eat chips). Go For It Kickboxing is a GREAT STARTER course if you are not in shape or a SUPPLEMENTARY course if you're lifting without cardio (i hate cardiooo). My ex was a workout freak, inspired me to do general kickboxing for a year, switched to muay thai for 2 where I worked out for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Fast-forward to now and haven't sweat seriously for a year, and now need to tone and gain weight since I'm 110lbs of skin and bone. GO FOR IT! They are a fab team and you meet some friendly people. You def will lose weight and tone up!

I had an accident and after I recovered I try to go back and the owner told me they were closing and had to file bankruptcy. I asked for my money back and he refused. They just told me to talk to other locations which one is ozone park (which I can't travel all the way there) and beg them to take me there. I hope they never NEVER open this place and if you decide to go to another location be carful do not pay at front any package. I'm disgusted for this behavior.

This is one of the best places to be if you or your children depend on structured routines. I was…read morestruggling to get my kids adjusted to a routine since covid 19 hit and everyone was laid back by working at their own pace. Since I wasn't brought up in an environment where family members engaged in after school activities. I always thought that all of these activities such as boxing, dancing, yoga, martial arts, swimming, gymnastics are for those folks who just don't know where to throw their money. Upon discussing options with my partner. We finally made the call to sign them up to marital arts, so that they'd have some structure and discipline. I was quite surprised to see my kids transformed within a few weeks. They started following instructions around the house. Additionally, I would have to admit that my kids no longer sit at the couch for 20 mins in front of the TV set, when we tell them it's dinner time, shower time, etc... They take action instantly. As far as sensei goes. He may not be for everyone. However, he'd definitely someone down my alley. I like the fact that he's tough with his students and walks around the room to do adjustments in postures or moves that he's teaching during the lesson. He explains why your technique would fail you during a fight. He's one of those that will tell you how it is. Which I love! If someone doesn't pay attention or becomes disruptive, he has different variations of discipline techniques that he applies throughout the session to keep the flow going, which doesn't impede with the class. I believe this is a huge investment in your kids! They're more confident, determined, focused and most of all, I believe they will use their knowledge from this sensei down the line during the course of their life.

Every class is different. No two are really the same. Even when I would attend two on the same day, what would be worked on would vary. I got to meet some really great people during my time there. You bond over your time on the mats together and there is a connection that is felt between all (at least that is my take on it). Even though it went unstated; it was there. Even between those whom I hadn't really interacted much with. . . The common thread of Sitan gym had woven us all together. Aziz has to have some of the best energy I've encountered. He is always quick to smile and slow to frown. He would bring his daughters in often (and his wife trains in the classes as well). This really made for a beautiful feeling of family that spread outwards. I learned so much when I was there. Got to train with those who had never thrown a punch before - all the way up to true fighters. All the while watching my own abilities increase exponentially. . . When I started there I was in the former group, with little martial arts experience before. By the time I was about to move from the area I had quite a few others ask me if I was thinking of fighting myself.

They have a website/facebook/app/Instagram and upload the classes/instructors on them. They are extremely responsive on social media. They have everything you need to keep you busy. They offer pad training classes/personal training/weight training for an additional fee. What's included in the membership is UNLIMITED classes for a month. You can take all the classes everyday seven days a week. I have a high stress job and this is my stress reliever. I take it all out on the bags. There are different instructors and each has their own favorites workouts. Here you can get HIIT, pure kickboxing, more cardio based, form/skills based, weight training and more "boot-camp" style classes. The facility is clean, it has AC/heat. They sell cool workout gear/water. They also use myZone is you're into that and have multiple TV screens to check out our HR and calories burned during class--for friendly competition. I have made many friends here. You do not need to be a pro to join, there are beginners from more advanced people in class, the music is BUMPIN' and it's such a fun time. The owners and instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and super chill. If you're looking for an instructor led class to get you into shape, with LIT music look no further
