A Masterclass in Disappointment: Buyer Beware…read more Where do I begin? I traded in a Classic Pro and some cash totaling nearly $11,000 to purchase a D5 Maverick--only to be met with one of the most unprofessional and disjointed buying experiences I've ever had. The owner refused to budge even a dollar on the price, while simultaneously badmouthing competing dealerships, accusing them of illegal practices. The irony? Her own operation is arguably no less questionable. She quibbled over a mere $24 shortfall caused by a temporary bank limit and made me run around town like I was buying a used bike off Craigslist. Once resolved, I returned to finalize paperwork, only to be left sitting in my vehicle for 45 minutes in sweltering 110-degree heat because the staff collectively decided it was time for lunch. No urgency, no courtesy just a blatant disregard for customer time. When I finally received the cart, the push bar was visibly crooked. They acknowledged the defect and promised a fix a week before the purchase. That promise, like many others, was never fulfilled. Fast forward seven months and 300 miles later, I attempted to sell the cart. I contacted guild golf carts again and they expressed interest ... right up until they learned it came from this dealership. Suddenly, all communication ceased. Coincidence? Unlikely. To make matters worse, even her own sales staff quietly criticized her behind closed doors an indictment of leadership if there ever was one. The whole "we're a family-run, values-first business" façade is just that: a façade. Same tired tricks, same shady practices just wrapped in a slicker marketing package. Truthfully, you'd be better off going to whichever dealer is closest to you. None of them are saints, and they all engage in the same petty backstabbing and smoke-and-mirrors sales tactics. The only thing that varies is the camouflage they wear while doing it
