We went there recently to pick out some butterfly bushes, perennials and annuals. They had a pretty good selection. We ended up buying everything we needed. They're planted now and thriving. We might've had a larger selection had we gone earlier but we're quite satisfied. Prices were very good. Service is a little iffy - they have people roaming the grounds to help but some don't have all the knowledge for particular species that you're interested in. read more

Dabney has an extensive selection of plants with reasonable prices. Flower selection was amazing! The bulk of their products are aimed at landscaping, but they had a selection of vegetable & herb plants as well. I'd have loved a better selection of veggie plants in the spring & it could have been a one-stop shop for me! But the veggie plants they did have were great. You can do a better job. Here was MY experience. Early spring, I allowed myself to be talked into letting them deliver and install 30 Encore Azaleas. They immediately started pulling the plants from the containers and sticking them in the ground. "Wait aren't you going to break-open, tickle or cut the root bound root balls," I protested. "Nah, this is the way we do them, we never do that." Jose answered. Those 30 plants are now (late summer) down to 15 plants. Guess what, I don't blame them as much as I blame myself. I should have pull the plants up the next day and opened the root ball. LESSON LEARNED DO IT YOURSELF read more

I've crossed paths with Dabney on the Garden Speaker circuit for many years. He has grown this Nursery on a behemoth 150-acre property into a gem that features the largest selection of Trees in the Mid-South. Plato Touliatos was well-known as "The Tree Man" for 50 years ~ back in the day, his Nursery was on Brooks Road. We are fortunate that Dabney filled his shoes & offers us amazing choices, in addition to his grower's knowledge of "Right Tree Right Place." You will also find hundreds of types of Shrubs, Perennials, Bedding Plants ~ You name it, it's probably there somewhere! All hands were on deck when I drove in, ready to unload the brightly-colored Encore Azalea tractor-trailer behind me. Coincidentally, I had called Ralph 2 hours prior to reserve the variety & size (7-gallon) Encores I wanted to buy & was headed to that area. I also bought Carissa Hollies to replace those that Mother Nature decimated most of during January. I will transplant & rejuvenate the damaged ones. This Spring Mother Nature is running us right up through the night of "April 15" (forecast of 32) safe-tender-plant Date for this area. Just called Dabney nursery about a Mr Lincoln rose that I wanted for my mother. They handed me to Hubert, who buy and sell rose bushes for Dabney, Hubert was wonderful. He answered all my questions and shared many tips which will help us. Dabney gets 5 stars for hiring Hubert, If you want roses in you garden, talk with Hubert, he loves roses and it shows! I know little about roses, but I know that mother's roses will be safe with him! Ask for Hubert. read more

Large selection that changes with the season. They have some very reasonably priced plants for the price conscious gardener like myself. The best part is the plants aren't aware of that and you still get very good quality plants. I enjoying wandering the greenhouses looking for bargains and unusual plants that I might splurge on.
