On February 15th, my mom and I came to relax on the anniversary of my sister's death and I walked out of my pedicure with a 2nd to 3rd degree chemical burn on the back of my left leg that is ridiculously large. I was encouraged by a friend and my doctor to file an incident report, so I called the salon to do as much. I was told by the manager that I would receive a phone call from Wendy, owner, which I did. I was told by the owner no only that they supposedly don't take incident reports (which I find hard to believe considering that they have to be licensed and inspected...) but the owner also had the audacity to tell me that I was lying about receiving the burn at her salon. Let's be honest- if I had come into her salon with an undressed chemical burn on my leg wanting a pedicure, there is no way on earth their staff would have worked on my legs/feet because of the liability for the spa! Now, I'm a lot of things, but a liar is not one of them, and as a business owner, she should be ashamed of how she treated myself and my mother who has spent thousands of dollars over the course of several years as a loyal patron prior to this incident. I literally had nothing to gain by trying to file a report except to make sure I had things in order in case the wound got infected. We didn't ask for our money back or anything. It seemed as though Wendy really thought I was making something up so as to get a free pedicure? I can't say for sure what she was thinking, but her demeanor was appalling. Now it's summer time, and after months of healing (I was dressing the wound twice a day for two months- and yes, after I delivered my son my nurses and doctor took a lot of care to make sure my wound wasn't infected and was healing okay) people are starting to ask what happened to my leg, and it's honestly embarrassing. The scar is going to be large and unsightly. You can bet I will also be filing a complaint with the MN Board of Cosmetology. If you are serious about supporting small businesses with hardworking and kind owners, look elsewhere.

My hair was cut uneven, different lengths on either side, layers are very arbitrary. She just seemed to randomly hack away at it. When I pointed out the uneven areas she tried fixing it, but acted like she couldn't really tell what I was pointing out. Mind you the whole time my girl was moving at a glacial pace. It was like she was combing through my hair in slow motion (I'm not kidding). I had a family member who knows nothing about cutting hair fix my haircut and do so much better than Brooke did. I didn't expect much from Great Clips, but I figured they'd at least be able to handle a trim.

I was nervous to say the least. I noticed 2 stylists that were not doing a great job on their clients so I wanted to leave but I noticed Ariel did a great job on a gentleman before me. This alleviated some of my concerns. I felt very lucky I was next and she was the first available. She took her time and made sure I was comfortable each step of the way. Today was the worst experience I've ever had there. 1) I was shocked to see the condition of the one employee. She was very obviously under the influence. Of some kind of opiate. She was slurring her words and barely could open her eye. 2) When I first got there I had to wait 5 minutes before saying loudly enough hello the girl came out from the back room. So there was no employee watching the store 3) When I asked about my online order the worker was like I didn't even know we had online orders. Once she realized they did was like I don't know how to pick them. So I had to get my own order! As I was picking my stuff another worker (faith) came out (I don't know the others name she didn't have a name Tag just green hair) came out was extremely rude and was like here is your order and shoved it at me!
