What an absolutely beautiful view of the beach in the distance - off to a great start. I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find items marked "vegan" on the menu! Not knowing what to expect I figured I would end up ordering pasta with tomatoes, but instead I happily selected the vegan pizza - topped with tomatoes, zucchini, artichokes, spinach, rocket, and sun dried tomatoes. DELICIOUS! Simple but flavorful and it really hit the spot. The menu here was only offered in Italian and German but it's simple enough to figure out if you are an English speaker. The host serving me was very kind and smiled profusely. I was so happy I decided to visit - it was a great dinner in a seriously lovely setting.

Great wine, great food .. again, a dining game experience slightly tainted by extremely inattentive service, but we've come to the conclusion that this is either a Sardinian thing, or a "we don't like you if you're not local," thing. For example, we were sent to the register to pay .. without the check .. and the fellow behind the register just looked at us like we were idiots when we tried to explain why we were standing in front of him .. trying to pay our bill. ‍ I don't remember it being like this when I lived here in the mid 90s, but I suppose things change.
