Ristorante Teatro is the right place if you are looking for an elegant, yet tastefully informal place where to get dinner in the historical downtown of Varese. I visit Italy once a year and each time, if I have a chance, I stop there for dinner with family. My favorite is the spaghetti all'astice, one of the dishes Ristorante Teatro is famous for. Let the owner suggest you about the wine: I had one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon I've ever had a chance to taste in my entire life. Let me say it was served a bit too cold but that didn't affect the experience at all. During the summer the outside patio is the best way to enjoy the location - as far as it's not raining (...as it happened to us..).
