I visted this place on a Saturday afternoon after my husband saw that a fillet steak was only 14Euro with all the trimmings.
The staff were very friendly & gave us a good seat to accommodate the baby's pushchair, the decor was quaint & they were English friendly (even had English menus) however the food could have been better.
I had a minestrone soup which was nice & my hubby had melon & parma ham - which he said was great (the starters were also a good size). The disappointment came when our main courses arrived, I opted for Penne Al'Arrabiatta & my other half had the fillet steak with pepper sauce. There is no doubt in my mind that the steak was not a fillet, if it was then the restaurant owner should think seriously about changing his butcher, however it was well disguised under a gallon of sauce. The accompanying vegetables were also well over cooked. My pasta was not offensive in any way but I could have made nicer at home myself - although again the portion was very generous.
I wish my review could be more complementary as the staff were great & the place itself was lovely but I was disappointed.
Will I go back again? Possibly, to give it another chance at some point in the future but would I recommend it to someone as a great restaurant? Sorry but no. read more
