While wandering at random, which I must tell you is always the best way to find new and interesting…read morethings, we had a nice early dinner here. The inside is unique, with tall ceilings, small hard wobbly chairs, small tables, and some modern decor.
As the prime time dinner hour approached, it became unbelievably crowded with large families, young couples, and only a few tourists. Ok, the tourists were us :-)
Our pizzas were crispy and thin, with fresh toppings. I also ordered at random and was pleasantly surprised to receive a pizza buried in arugula, fresh small and sweet tomatoes, and shaved Parmesan. I requested some olive oil, gave it a drizzle, and enjoyed myself immensely.
The service was a little spotty, with various waitresses helping us, but none ever bringing the wine we ordered until we reminded them, mid meal.
Paying the bill turned out to be slightly challenging as the crush of people up front, by the entrance and the one cash register, was overwhelming. Thankfully, I had cash and eventually paid our waitress.
