It's a lovely stop along the outdoor Buchanan Street pedestrian mall. With four levels, lots of retail, a few restaurants, and one great chocolatier, Princes Square Shopping Centre is worth a few hours of shopping for the ladies on vacation in Glasgow. The facility is just steps from the St. Enoch subway station on the Inner Line if you need a reference to the metro stops.

Granted,…read moreI don't actually do much shopping here but it is nice for a place to take cover on a rainy day and browse the shops. This is an upmarket shopping centre which has more expensive high street shops like Reiss, Ted Baker, Vivienne Westwood and Cos (which I'm still yet to check out!). The centre is certainly decorated to match the crowd it's looking to attract - glitzy, glam and always clean and tidy. I like the size of the centre as well - it's very dinky but still has lots of shops and is easy to navigate. There's also a host of restaurants, bars and cafés but I'll be honest - I've not visited many of them. I ate at Barca probably 4 years ago and also one of the places on the bottom floor but I think that's changed hands. One down side is that if you are dining at a restaurant on the lower level, parents will tend to let their kids run riot in the centre circle which can be a bit of a mood-killer. Princes Square doesn't have a car park due to its location but it is really close to train and subway. If you do really fancy driving, probably St Enoch or Mitchell Street are the closest car parks.

For the past few months I've been hunting for a wooden box - and as luck would have it, Mr A spotted just what I was after in here, for a fiver. One quick visit later and it's on my fireplace. Most of the stock in here is kinda on the moderately priced side for a second hand shop, but it's worth a peruse.

I was in the area so made a point of calling in to see what stock they had in. It's not often that l see a modern well stocked & organised charity well this shop this one of those What did they have? There was rails of modern & vintage clothing with window displays that where thought out most items where vintage - retro & collectable small selection of jewellery in two display cabinets. There are shelves around the shop some had women's bags others had modern items but everything seemed like quality, there was no tacky ornaments or what l see as junk. Expensive? Well not really I've been to some charity shops and found others that I've been to very expensive and can source items that they sell cheaper brand new. The prices here where pretty good. I managed to pick up some collectable pint glasses at £1 each l also found a game controller for £4.99. This Bernardo's charity shop is a pretty good one and if you are looking for some good vintage items you would love this shop. Definitely be back.

Pushy, obsessive girlfriends drag sweating, shifty-eyed boyfriends around here and coo in an innocent-but-underlyingly-persuasive manner at gigantic engagement rings. You can find everything in here, from traditional gold and antiques, to modern gems by contemporary designers. The walls and ceiling sparkle with the reflected light of a million facets - most people can only afford to browse. Wandering around here is an enjoyable way to spend half an hour. Deciding what you would buy if you found £10,000 or even £100,000 just lying in the street (Ha!). One end of the arcade emerges on Buchanan Street, the other on Argyll Street, so it is a nice alternative link between the two streets, especially if it is raining.

I have been going to Osiris now for over 10 years and they've always kept to the unusual and interesting and have never let me down. Last year I got some great Christmas presents for my friends and I'm sure I'll be back again this year. I got some great accessories and earrings etc and my friends loved their presents. :) I remember being trapped in Osiris one day as a fight broke out in the middle of Queen Street with one of the unders clubs across the road. The police were there and Osiris had to close their doors. I tell you though I wisnae complaining much that day although I might have spent a bit too much mind you. ;p

I'm sure that the Italian Centre was once fabulous. Now though, it resembles more of a ghost town…read more When I wandered in there this week - I was met with complete silence. Besides me, there was not a single soul in there, and I had to make quite an effort to keep from turning back round and leaving again. Many of the units have shut down now completely, including a couple of hairdressers and a few clothes shops. Shops such as Emporio Armarni and Cruise can still be found here - but probably only because they can be reached from outside the centre, and not just in the courtyard. There are a couple of Italian-esque eateries, but to be honest they looked pretty dead to me. The architecture of the courtyard is absolutely lovely - and I can imagine that it's a stunning place to be come summer time. I had a chat with the only living person I could find in there - the owner of one of the few remaining shops 'Big Idea's' - and she seemed more than a little worried by how empty the place had become. She said that she hoped that the place would pick up again this year - let's hope so.

It is in the style of a courtyard accessed through archways and contains some of the best designer shopping in the country. I find it hard to believe that it has the only Versace store in the UK. Why isn't there one in London? There are also a couple of café's for a light refreshment and to rest your stiletto-clad feet. There are a lot of WAG looking types that shop here, attracted by the thrill of all the designer labels in the Italian Centre: Jigsaw, Gucci and Armani. Put on your shades and Primark Kurt Geiger rip-offs and go mingle!

This is a local artisans market that is held ever month or so at Sloans Restaurant. I read about it…read morein the Yelp events and decided to pop in. The market was held on two different floors of the Resturant . One floor had a artist on it showcasing some of his work. There was a harpist playing in the stair case which made the whole atmosphere wonderfully enchanting. The next floor had most of the local vendors. There were antiques, tea cup candles, handmade jewellery of a few different types, some tasty goodies, a local tea company, and some craft and arts. It was smaller then I imagined but the quality of the vendors was good. I bought some of the tasty goodies that were delicious and a few antique pins. I wanted to get a tea cup candle but because I was walking about Glasgow shopping for the rest of the day I decided against it ... which is sad but I had to be practical. :P Really cute local stuff will hopefully make it back for the Jan/Feb one.
