My son goes here to develop strength and get himself ready for the upcoming football and Basketball season. Before we signed up I was curious to see how they introduce young athletes to working out and training without injuring or stunting their growth as my son is (12 years old). The coaching staff has done an incredible job of building core strength, cardio stamina and introducing them to weight lifting. Haven't seen anything that I felt was pushing beyond the limits, and slowly but surely they have progressed the intensity of the program. The coaches have a perfect balance of intense, and fun while challenging them to put forth 100% effort. Coach Ryan has in particular done such an awesome job with the classes. I strongly believe with proper sleep, diet, and D1 training the great majority of the young athletes will be able to play high level youth sports, and maybe even college for the ones who stay hungry. I would strongly recommend D1 to anyone looking to support their young athlete towards achieving their goals.

What I found was an incredibly inviting, supportive, and encouraging environment. So much positivity to go around, and they meet you where you are, while challenging you to go just a little bit further. Within these past few months I have seen more transformation in my body and increase in energy levels than I have since I can remember. Complete game changer. I have committed to 12 months and can't wait to see the progress I have made by next year!

Visiting from Henderson, NV, I got my workout in at their Costa Mesa location on 6/23/25 at 9:30am and 6/24/25 at 10:30am. I flew here and did not have a rental car during this trip, so I took a rideshare here on both days. I wasn't comfortable taking one alone, so my dad tagged along with me both times, where he hung out at a coffee shop around the corner and took a little walk around the surrounding office space while I got my workout in. Burn's Costa Mesa location is a unique one to me. It's in a huge warehouse space with a pull up door surrounded by other businesses in this complex, plus they have a separate outdoor entrance for their child watch room. This was the first Burn location I've visited outside my home location. I only have a single gym membership, which required me to pay to workout outside my home location ($15/camp). My waiver was accepted but I had some trouble booking and paying through the app, so I ended up calling them first thing Monday morning, where they were very helpful and booked me on their end. Lauren and Casey were my trainers on 6/23 and 6/24, respectively. I stayed in Anaheim and it was totally worth coming down to Costa Mesa just to get my usual 45 minute workout in. I felt welcome here on both days and was given honors by my trainers for being a visitor. They make you feel right at home when you're away from your home gym!

Special shoutout Ryan G. , great trainer who keeps you engaged by alternating activities and stepping up challenges incrementally. He gives constant feedback on form and function, which is very helpful; also, has a lot of knowledge about fitness and nutrition, and overall health. The only negative I've noticed - the people "sitting" on machines/scrolling while others wait to use, but to me, that's not on the gym, but on the people who should be more considerate of others. But overall I think this is an awesome LA Fitness and highly recommend.
