I don't mind spending good money on good food. I do mind wasting money on mediocre food. Some of the dishes were average at best, which is fine. But the prices are simply outrageous for what they serve. I'll stick to the Quick next time. At least I'll get my money's worth.

The staff is friendly. The food which is served is mostly typical Belgian (steak, carbonades, vol au vent, anguille etc). It is also possible to have some snacks like croque monsieur from 15:00. They also serve a wide range of crepes and ice-creams, but we have not tested them. I had a steak with pepper sauce and fries (23€) which was very good. My boyfriend had the vol au vent with croquettes (20€), also a good choice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Three of us went here after warlking around the grounds of the chateau and since we were a bit hungry, ordered something light to eat. This light snack was a croque monsieur each. This is really nothing but a grilled ham and cheese sandwich but this one was very good and came with a small salad. We also ordered some fries/frites to go along with it. The condiments were free (mayo, ketchup, etc.), which is becoming not the norm since Belgians are starting to charge anywhere from 50 to 75 cents for a blob of ketchup. For drinks, we each had a Kasteel Blonde (beer). The beer menu had a choice of maybe a dozen. There was also wine and soft drinks on offer as well. We sat outside since it was a nice sunny day. This is recommended, although I cannot tell you what its like inside. The waitress spoke English and was very friendly, and the service was pretty quick.
