We are grateful that we selected Precision Inspections & Radon Solutions to do our radon…read moreremediation. I always try to get 3 quotes for any significant work. Just going through the process teaches me what is involved and what is important in selecting a contractor for the particular job. A competitor gave a preliminary estimate over the phone that was not only slightly higher but was premised on boring through the floor near the electrical panel, going over the top of the concrete basement wall, and then going straight up the outside wall. As it turns out that location was unsuitable because things on the other side of that wall, as Jeremy pointed out during his one site visit to do an estimate. The only suitable locations were on the opposite wall 52 feet away. Jeremy had planned to tie into an electrical circuit on that side of the room, but decided there would be too many lights and outlets on that circuit. So they installed a new circuit breaker and run 52 feet of wire across the ceiling, adding about $75 in materials to their costs. Floor joists blocked access to the area over the concrete wall, so they knew they would have to bore through the concrete wall. The poured concrete wall was 8 inches thick and had continued to harden over the past 20 years. The angle at which they had to drill made the job even more difficult. So drilling through the wall took significantly longer than they had expected. In the middle of the job two electric lights in the basement stopped working. It might have been a coincidence that this occurred while they were working, but Jeremy insisted upon tracing and testing the wiring and then fixing the loose connection in an electrical box tightly packed with wires. This took an additional 20 to 30 minutes that was certainly not in his estimate. There was a one crack in a concrete wall and several cracks in the concrete floor that they sealed as part of the job. The cracks had been there for several years. I kept putting off getting them fixed imagining that it would cost hundreds of dollars to fill them. Based on experience with other contractors I was fully expecting Jeremy to tell me that he had not included installing an additional breaker in the breaker box and running wiring 52 feet across the room, or fixing the loose wire, or spending so much time drilling through the wall, and that the cost was now higher. But to his credit he stuck by his original estimate. Connor was on the job all day and Jeremy was here most of the day. They cleaned up as they went along, and left the place spotless. The work was all done neatly and professionally. We are so very glad we went with Precision Inspections & Radon Solutions.

You cannot evict anyone from your property running from you by federal law until certain such and such a date and then he could proceed with eviction through the district magistrate. I was four months behind on my rent when he filed for eviction. He came over unannounced all of the time. He would bring people to show the house with no phone calls..just txt message because he's deaf and can't hear anything people feel sorry for him. But he just popped in whenever he wants and he complains about how you live there if you didn't do your dishes he'll complain about it. When he has no business Coming over whenever he feels like it unannounced. Everybody feels bad for him when he takes you to court or confront you with an eviction notice or what have you because he's Jeff. Despite the fact that he's on welfare and owns all of the rental properties that he owns he's manipulating the welfare system to be able to do so because of his one physical disability. Without an attorney because I could not afford one, the judge was on his side automatically and The Judgment was probably already in before I even walked into the door. This is what Harrisburg is like first of all. Aside from coming over and bringing people over to show the house to or the rooms that he rented from this one location on North 2nd Street that are showing in the pictures that are online under his web page out there for everyone to see. the 2517 North 2nd Street property that he owns anybody could walk in at any time without any warning at all whatsoever so there's no privacy he tried to revamp and renege the entire lease a week or so into the lease after moving in Because one more person came in some of the bills went up for him that he had included into the rent. Which is going to happen when you have one more person come into the property. But he didn't care. At the present moment I have 90 days to come up with his rent money which is $2,500. I don't have a problem with paying him but the sheriff's department gave me 90 days or they're going to come in and seize and liquidate all of my assets to which is really nothing. I was working at a truck stop and living there for that matter when does pandemic came down and everyone started losing business and closing because the truck parking lots were completely empty. That's how I lost my job. This happens shortly after moving in to John's property. At this moment also he is holding my mail which is a federal offense, for ransom. I have already contacted thePostmaster General and the federal courthouse and they are going to be investigating John Swope for welfare fraud & for mail theft. I seen his work and it's lousy. While I was living near the washing machine broke and he accused us of breaking it. The problem with the washing machine was the switch that's a little plastic Peg would come down to activate the power to the washing machine once you close the lid. He didn't know how to fix that but he's a handyman. This was a very easy fix that he could have probably fixed himself as a quote-unquote handyman. Was only half a day's notice he showed up And met the person that was coming over to replace the washing machine. The bottom line is, all he cares about is his money is welfare fraud and holding people's mail which is a federal offense until he gets his rent money. Despite the fact that he already took me to court for a judgment he still holding my mail and I'm filing charges on him then. He has no empathy, or remorse, and he will text you while you're at work or otherwise until you lose your mind and snap out on him. Via text messaging that is. Now I understand that and I owe him into his rent money. And I want him to have it because it is his money owed to him by me. But he was not willing to work with me at all whatsoever. Not before court not after court not otherwise at all whatsoever.

I came across Wertz Handyman Service through social media after seeing multiple people rave about…read moreboth the quality of work and the pricing. I had a small (but important) project at my house and knew I wanted to hire someone who was a legitimate, professional business -- not just a "guy with a truck." Think: licensed, insured, organized, and trustworthy. Adam Wertz checked all of those boxes and then some. From the very first interaction, Adam was incredibly responsive. He quickly scheduled a time to come out, take a look at the project, and provide a quote -- which he turned around just as quickly. His communication was clear, professional, and easy to follow every step of the way. One thing I especially appreciated was his use of a web-based system for quotes, scheduling, invoicing, and payment. It made the entire process seamless and super convenient -- no back-and-forth confusion, no chasing paperwork, just straightforward and efficient. Once I approved the quote, we got on the schedule, and Adam showed up right on time (which already puts him ahead of a lot of contractors I've worked with in the past). He got straight to work, no nonsense, and completed the project efficiently while still making sure everything was done right. Before wrapping up, he made sure I was happy with the finished result and even offered to come back if any issues popped up -- which speaks volumes about the kind of service he provides. It's not always easy to find someone you feel comfortable trusting to work on your home, but Adam absolutely earned that trust. I'm really glad I found Wertz Handyman Service and will definitely be using him again for future projects. If you're looking for someone reliable, professional, and easy to work with, this is it!

SH will not confirm an arrival time or offer a window when their team will show up. After talking with the installer on the first day, he offered to text me on day two with an estimated time of arrival which was super helpful and most appreciated. And, the text communication with the installer came in handy when one of the two left their personal items on my trashcan and needed to return to retrieve it. Overall, it was a good experience and I am happy to recommend them. But I do think that an additional layer of communication would be most helpful for the customer.
