When I reached out to Chris for an inspection estimate, he provided clear and transparent pricing, patiently answering all my questions about what the inspection would include and whether certain checks were necessary. On the day of the inspection, Chris did an excellent job identifying various defects and explaining how they could be repaired. What truly stood out, though, was his thoughtful approach in explaining the unfamiliar aspects of the home's features. Since we are foreigners, his detailed guidance made a huge difference. Thanks to his explanations, we could vividly imagine what a wonderful life we could build in this house. If I were to buy another house, I would absolutely ask Chris to handle the inspection again. He is incredibly professional and kind, and I deeply appreciated his support throughout the process. Writing this glowing review is the least I can do to show my gratitude for his exceptional service. Thank you, Chris! Kouta read more

Chris was very prompt and had great communication from the start, when I made a request looking for an inspector, through the whole process. It was also easy to find information about him online, including verifying his certification. He was very helpful and gave us great tips for some of those little things you don't always think about with owning a home. Would definitely recommend! read more

Chris was recommended to us by our realtor for a post-sale inspection. He was thorough, friendly and very knowledgeable. He explained what he was doing and what he found. The report he sent was detailed and concise, contained detailed photos and suggested fixes for any problems he found. Even though we had already purchased our home, it was an incredible relief to have it expertly inspected and to learn so much about it in the process. I would not hesitate to recommend Accurate Home and Termite Inspections. read more

Chris was awesome and saved me a lot of money. He has a keen eye and he is very thorough. He has my highest possible recommendation.

We've purchased several new construction homes before but this is the first time we decided to get a home inspection. We leveraged the inspector search on the American Society of Home Inspectors website to find Chris Matteson of Accurate Home and Termite Inspections. Since we were purchasing a new construction townhouse with a mortgage guaranteed by the VA we wanted an inspector with this background, after additional research we determined Chris was the right fit for our home inspection. Chris conducted our home inspection nine days prior to closing which was after the VA appraisal. He was very thorough in his inspection and presented all the information in a clear and concise way. He also took the time to address every question or thought from us in a friendly and informative manner. Chris' report was detailed and self explanatory with pictures. His report identified 11 items we addressed with the builders agent. In addition Chris was unable to confirm the installation of upgrades (i.e., air filtration system) during his inspection. During our walkthrough the day before closing it appeared the builder resolved the items from inspection; however, we hired Chris to confirm. Chris came back a few days after our settlement to perform a Radon test and inspect the previously identified items. We received an abbreviated report regarding the items that had not been completely addressed by the builder and a comprehensive radon report. I highly recommend Chris without any hesitation. He was so easy to work with and provided absolutely outstanding service! He is very professional, understanding, cooperative and mostly knowledgeable. read more

Found Chris via google, he came out and inspected our prospective home. I attended the inspection and he left no stone unturned and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it in very simple terms. He's incredibly knowledgeable and personable and we couldn't recommend him more. He saved us thousands of dollars on our home by showing us exactly what the problems and potential problems were. You want to have confidence that the house you're going to purchase is worth it and Chris gives you the confidence to make the right decision. He gives you a very detailed report in a very short turnaround period (got mine the same night). I'm so glad we chose Chris to handle our home inspection and if he services your area you cannot go wrong by hiring him. read more

I called the owner of Accurate Home and termite Inspections , initially to see if he would be able to retest a septic system that had failed it's initial inspection. We quickly ascertained that Accurate Home and termite inspection company did not service the area that my client lived in (I am a real estate agent and the home in question was in Jackson New Jersey) The owner spent at least 15 minutes on the phone with me, explaining the meaning of the report issued, even though unfortunately there would be no way for him to earn a fee. As a real estate agent I deal with inspectors fairly frequently and if I did service clientele in the area he services, I would not hesitate to recommend him to my clients. He was knowledgeable and explained the intricacies of septic issues to me in a clear manner. read more

I have had the benefit of Chris' expertise on two recent home purchases, and in both cases the evaluations in his report were essential to effectively negotiating better prices for the homes. We entered our new homes fully aware of their strengths and weaknesses, and we were able to prioritize improvements based upon his report. Chris is professional, reliable, and uses advanced technology to provide prompt and thorough inspection reports. The detailed photographs he includes in his reports help the buyer's and seller's brokers understand any concerns and address them fairly. His fee is an excellent value for the knowledge and experience that he applies his work. I highly recommend Accurate Home & Termite Inspections. read more

We sent a request in via Chris's website on Thursday evening (thanksgiving). Friday morning he personally called me to schedule our inspection. He came and inspected the property we are planning to buy on that following Tuesday. By Tuesday evening we had a full report to review - complete with colored photos and detailed descriptions. Additionally the portal the Chris uses allowed us to quickly create a very organized list of the repairs we needed done so that we could have that to the seller by the following morning. We were extremely impressed with not only Chris's professionalism but his extreme attention to detail. We are very confident that Chris left no stone unturned. I recommend him ten times over! read more

Home inspection is more than just a business, it is his passion. Chris Matteson's home inspection practice is more than just a business, it is his passion and that shows at every single step of the process. I was very lucky to have Chris recommended for my home inspection. He is very thorough and detailed. Chris asked me to be present during the home inspection for a very good reason. He spends a great deal of time explaining the entire process and what he was going to covered. After Chris was done with every home level inspection, he would recap with me the original expectations, outcome, implications and recommendations, if any, before proceeding to the next home level. He used very easy to understand language. My property was a brand new construction but Chris inspected it with the same dedication and thoroughness as he does with older properties, no assumptions. When the home inspection took place, there were several changes in progress for the buldier to switch from electrical to natural gas appliances and Chris was professional enough to come back to re-inspect the changes once the builder was done. Chris Matteson is an outstanding, very professional and highly recommended home inspector in the Hershey, PA area. read more

My fiance and I recently went under contract on our first home. After browsing multiple local home inspectors websites, verbal referrals from family, friends, and our realtor, we decided to use Chris from Accurate Home & Termite Inspections to inspect our home before settlement. Being a first time home-buyer, I'm sure I had a few extra questions out of the ordinary for Chris, but he was more than helpful, pointing out issues & problems, whether major or minor problems, along with safety concerns. Not only was his inspection very thorough and informative, but he offers a RecalChek program that scans all of the appliances in the house for recalls or issues, and sends you a report. Chris also took pictures of every issue, major, minor, or safety, and was present in a lengthy report. Turnaround time for the report was great. We received it the very next morning, and Chris even followed up with an email asking if we had any questions, and even gave us the ok to contact him if we had anything down the road in the settlement with the issues. Great guy, great business, and I will definitely refer any friends/family to Accurate Home & Termite Inspections. read more

They did a great job. The report you get is clear and concise. It contains photos of any issues, and lays out the next steps for addressing any issues found. I got my report the day after the inspection. They even encourage you, the buyer, to be present at the inspection. Don't bother with whoever your realtor recommends. They're just interested in making the sale. Go with Accurate Home Inspections. read more

First time home buyer and wasn't sure who I should intrust in helping make sure my new home was up to standards. Not being from there area I decided to go online and do some research to see if anyone seemed to fit my needs. My realtor suggested someone but I read reviews on him and didn't like what I saw so I went with my gut and decided to call Chris at Accurate Home. I was very pleased and happy with my decision. He got me in 4 days later, did a very thorough job from top to bottom of the new home. I couldn't be more pleased with the service provided. Coming from a first-time potential home buyer that wanted to absolutely make sure I wasn't buying somebody else's problems, I can't recommend Chris enough. He's very knowledgeable and passionate when it comes to his work, and the most important feeling I had throughout the entire process was that it simply felt like he was genuinely looking out for my best interest. He was very patient with me and made sure he was taking the time to answer any questions that I had. His communication was excellent from start to finish and even though I didn't end up purchasing the home that I had Chris inspect, I learned so much throughout the experience that I came away feeling that it was worth every penny. I'd without a doubt recommend Chris to close friends and family. My realtor didn't have Chris on her list of recommended home inspectors, but after doing a quick search online and reading some of his great reviews, I'm glad that I decided to select Chris, and I can now attest to the validity and accuracy of those reviews. Stop your searching right now and give him a call; you won't be disappointed. read more
