I got two tacos which were fantastic and an order of nachos and it cost me only $11! The atmosphere and ambiance is so inviting. The employees were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, they seem to have cleared out all of their good wine and replaced it with the exact same varieties that are available at most supermarkets in the area...that is lots of things like "Barefoot Bubbly", 3+ liter specials, Franzia, and the like. They also stock some coffee beans in bulk and seem to be attached to a bar around back, although I haven't checked the bar portion out. The salesperson/proprietor is friendly enough, although doesn't know his wine well. Basically, if you want good wine around here, plan a trip to the St. Louis metro area. You'll find the exact selection here that you will at any Schnuck's, IGA, or Wal-Mart.

Lion's has a lot of craft beer and the owners/employees are knowledgeable about flavors, pairings, etc. so you can ask a lot of questions. We called ahead of a trip to a nearby cabin and ordered a keg. They had a bunch of options and they were pretty inexpensive (especially compared to Chicago). The keg had been set aside and was waiting when we arrived. We paid a $50 deposit on the tap and they carried the keg to the car for us. We were able to get ice and cigarettes so we completed our entire shopping trip here. Returning the keg was really easy and we got our deposit back immediately. We were basically in and out of there quickly both times we visited and we were really happy with the service and friendliness of everyone there. We also got to see the owner's lovely boxer dog and she was super cute and loved pets. I always love a good store pet.
