The homeware department interested me the most yesterday as there were so many discounts on china, including pretty china jugs and jam/marmalade pots with lids, for just £1. I had a lovely browse for a while and bought a few things! You will also find bedding, other textiles and cushions too, gifts, yarn (for knitting), toiletries for men and women, toys and so much more, so well worth a look.

The other half is split between kitchen-ware, toys, and everything which you didn't know that you needed until you see it! Since Woolworths closed it is quite a good bet if nowhere else has it. Usefully it is right next to The Gill car-park with pick-up space outside. The easiest way to get there is up Upper Brook St. from Kings St., by the Chippy Bank

Tried it on and it was a perfect fit. Label stated: Waist 34" Hips 44" Length 24" £360 Flashes included He was then told by the lady in the "Big Wee Shop" that that was not the price he would pay as it would have to be made to measure and that particular kilt would be in the region of £900!! Clearly a method of "upselling" to a higher price and lower quality. Underhanded? I think so.

The staff are all lovely and they measure the feet manually instead of using a machine which from past experience is not as accurate in my opinion. It is not a very large shop and can get quite cramped during busy times. The selection is quite good considering it is not a massive shop and they sell Geox trainers which are brilliant. Also a lot of the school shoes they sell are really lightweight but this does not mean they are not practical - they are. There is no hard sell approach and the staff are very understanding especially when I returned some shoes as my son said he had had second thoughts - they refunded my money instead of giving me a credit note which is what they were legally entitled to do.
