I went there with my dining companion on a Thursday evening before the dinner rush. He tried to…read moreorder appetizers, and the woman behind the register said they were out of the first two things he chose. We ended up with the Bolitas de Yuca con Queso as an app. He ordered his entrée: Chayote Rellano. When I tried to order my entrée, the first two things I chose were not available that night. I said to the woman I had never been there before, asked what she might recommend and she tersely and flippantly said, "Throw a dart." I could hear the impatience in her voice; she couldn't be bothered to make a suggestion. I was out of ideas so I quickly chose the Cubano. We took our order table marker and found a seat. The ambience left a lot to be desired; the tables and chairs were cheap, and there wasn't much decor. Our appetizer was delivered at the same time as my entrée. The bolitas were actually tasty; however, I wanted to try my sandwich when it was hot but felt it would be rude to start before my friend's entrée arrived. The kitchen's timing was terrible. Eventually my companion's entrée arrived, and he was happy with his dinner. My Cubano was very unimpressive. The flavor was bland. Our drinks - sangria - tasted like there was no alcohol in them. Overall, we spent over $70 for 2 dinners, an appetizer and 2 drinks, and I was tremendously disappointed. With unimpressive food and high prices, I will have a hard time giving them a second chance.

I don't think you can get this anywhere but here, and it will keep me coming back! They have an extensive menu now tho, and so many new things to try. Hub loved the stuffed peppers, and their chips are always so fresh and crispy. The sangria is filled with fruit and so refreshing. We moved to Greenville at the same time Asada started their food truck many years ago in the West End, and those are sweet memories of ours and their first days. Their brick and mortar is sweet little place. Check them out if you haven't been in a while (or ever!)

We travel full time and we are always trying new places. Chose this for lunch today. The song…read moreplaying while we were eating was "That Don't Impress Me Much" (Shania Twain) I'm sorry but that would be my theme song for this establishment. So now on to the details. First impression, bougie taco joint. The initial greeting was not friendly, just all business, she seated us and said, I'll be right back to get your drinks. In the meantime we watched some sort of drama play out between what appeared to be the manager, waitress and 2 guys at a booth. About 5 minutes later the waitress came and got our drink order and we ordered an appetizer at the same time. The appetizer (queso) was immediately brought out by a different waitress. Still no drinks. A little bit and another third waitress comes over and asks what we'd like to drink (2nd time drink order) so we tell her. She immediately brings out the drinks and says our waitress will be over to take our order. She did not. 3rd waitress comes back and says she's new but she's going to take care of us. I will just say, she was super friendly, unlike the first two, she did an amazing job. Now on to the food. Queso, little on the bland side but ok. Quesadillas, they were hot and decent as far as that goes. They were large. The rice tasted like uncle Ben's bag rice. Anyways, I wasn't impressed but maybe you like the bougie style taco stop then by all means try for yourself.

Hopefully they're going to be as delicious as they look like they were. This place is busy, busy, busy. That is a complete reason that I actually pulled into the parking lot and I was so shocked at how many cars were there in such a small place. Everybody was having a great time and really enjoying the food. Place had a nice feeling inside about it as well as it looked clean and well presented.

I realized quickly I was probably going to need to dig deep for my South Florida Spanglish. Thankfully I remember the verbs and words to get me what I wanted. All my hair appointments in Miami paid off. We ordered four beef empanadas. The menu does say there's potatoes in them, but the issue was more there was barely any meat and mostly potato. It wasn't quite what we were expecting. The actual empanada had a pretty thick crust as well which was different. We also got 2 pastillitos with guava, and two with guava and cheese. Those are money!!! We will absolutely be back for those. You can order online, and if you can't speak any kind of Spanish or speak very little I suggest ordering that way. I will probably do that myself next time. The lady who helped me was kind by not making me feel even more insecure over my basic Spanish speaking. Very much appreciated.

I also appreciate that the new location has a pick up window. My go to order is the Tacorritos mixed tacos with One steak taco and one chicken. I love the plantains and rice in the taco. All of their empanadas are great. I love the beef and potato and the guava with cheese. Their customer service has been consistently friendly and kind. They do not mind answering questions about the dishes. I am so glad they moved to Greer.

I have been visiting Black Mountain for years but haven't tried this interesting restaurant yet…read more Today was the day for me/us and marked the day the train returned on its route through Black Mountain. We were impressed by the interest and fanfare this post-Helene event created for the locals. Parking on the street, across the street or a short way up the street is town free parking. Shannon and Rain were our friendly and helpful servers. There are many seating options. We chose the sun room which was comfortable. Others were seated outside on the side porch and several people were inside. We shared a bowl of the delicious French onion soup. Eat it while it's hot for the best experience. The buckwheat crepes were the perfect consistency to handle the savory entrees. My Market crepe was packed full of goodies including the sausage add-on. Each ingredient stood well on its own. The pesto was a standout. My partner got the mushroom crepe with chicken. She enjoyed immensely. Both entrees came with a fresh greens and balsamic dressing. The servings were generous enough to bring two halves home for dinner. Sharing soup and a savory crepe is a reasonable strategy if leaving leftovers in your vehicle during the summer heat is a concern. We joined the servers on the patio to watch the return of the train through a nicely recovering town.
