The inside of this place is a car audio junkie's dream. Stereos, headrest displays, bass boxes and subwoofers + amps.
It however is messy. It looks like someone's garage and when I went in the two people inside I found to be a bit pushy and not really pay attention to what I was asking.
Me: "I need a cheap stereo that has bluetooth."
The guy: "here you go, seventy quid" (pulls a Sony off the shelf. No box, no wires, no manual.)
We then discussed which car it was going in; fitting charges (£20), fascias (overpriced at £10 when they are on ebay for £3), aerial adapter (£5, on ebay for 99p), and then I said "does it have bluetooth?" He said "no. But you can plug your phone in, why would you want it?"
Me: "for calls."
Him: "Oh. Then no. This one is £110..."
And by this stage I'd lost interest.
They also do electronics repairs and I dare say are a good honest business, but I wasn't impressed. read more
