There is a dike that cuts off the shallow end of the lake when the water level is low. It's cold clean waters are fed from an underground spring. It used to be a great spot for fishing, but now it's just ok. Navajo is a great spot for kids, though. It is mostly hatchery fish with very little hold over fish. I have been catching a lot of chubs up there the past few years and that seems to slow the fishing down. There is a "hot spot" if you rent a boat. I don't need to tell you where it is, you will see all of the other boats there. It also has a bike trail that goes around the lake that seems to be pretty popular. Early morning and late night, a worm or power bait will do the trick.

After I returned home (over 200 miles away) I noticed the transom straps they put on my new boat and trailer were used ones that didn't even match. Even worse, the trailer doesn't even fit the boat. Without doing some welding or major adjustments, I cannot raise the bunks high enough to allow them to center the boat, the boat rides on the frame and swivels all over. Not sure I wasn't taken advantage of because they knew the distance I traveled and that I probably wouldn't return it for those reasons.

I was a bit worried about flooding the engine which came with a $500 fee that i had read about in other reviews. Because of this i kinda took it easy and didn't do any crazy high speed turns to avoid flipping which floods the engine. I also read a few things on the internet about how to avoid flooding the engine. The big one was if it dies and someone tows you in make sure they go slower than 5 MPH, because dragging it thru the water at higher speeds pulls water into the engine and floods it. It was my first time on a jet ski, they excellerate very quickly like a motorcycle. It took me a little while to get used to the speed, but eventually got it to full throttle, i just dialed it down when it got choppy. The staff was helpful and friendly. The jet skis all seemed pretty new and we had no problems with them. They say each jet ski can hold 3 people but they suggest only 2 per as it increases the chances of flooding the engine. Also if you fall off, be careful when getting back on, thats how you can easily flip the jet ski and flood it. There was also a swimmers itch warning, which is a harmless parasite that leaves a rash on your skin. Although it was the season for it and warning signs, no one encountered any of this. We all had a blast, some tips; bring sunscreen or wear long sleeves to protect you from the sun, if you have sunglasses make sure you have a lanyard that keeps them around your neck in case they come off. There was also a $20 fee at the entrance to the park for non Utah residence, which we did not anticipate. Over all a fun and exciting experience.

Because this is the only option on-site, you just have to accept the price. But I would say the main negative was that the rental itself was pretty beaten up. The kill switch clip was broken, and the steering was great. At least the kids running the place were chill about the issues and didn't try and blame us. Not all rental places are like that. Some places basically look for any reason to charge you damages regardless if you were responsible or not. - More expensive - Charged for gas - Relatively hassle free renting/returning.

Our yearly Father's Day…read moretradition included getting a boat from Dave at Rocky Point, the kids catching fish, camping...such a magical time for us, making memories that last a lifetime. This year everything changed. A trip that we looked forward to for a whole year was ruined, purely because of Rocky Point Boat Dock. We reserved a pontoon boat for $170 a day, $95 for a half day. When they pulled the boat up to us for us to get on, we actually thought it was a joke. This boat looked like it was neglected for years. Ripped seats, spider webs, the floor boards rotting with sharp pieces of wood sticking up. It was awful...but..they said there weren't any other boats available, so we got on and we're convinced we would have a good time. After 2 hours on the lake, the boat died. Wouldn't start (not to mention it never would go into reverse) We had to get towed back to the dock. They told us the boat needed a new motor and would be down for the rest of the weekend. My kids were broken hearted and in tears. They also told us they were aware the boat didn't work in reverse! (But never told us that) As we were KINDLY asking for possibly a new boat, a refund, something...the owners wife yelled at us and told us to stop complaining , stop stressing her out, and she actually told me to shut up. She did this in front of my young kids! On a Father's Day trip with their dad and grandpa! Now we were left without a boat for the remaining 3 days of our trip. The owner Dave, who over the years had become a family friend, wouldn't even look us in the eye, apologize, nothing! It was very sad to see a business that used to be so friendly and such a positive experience, decline completely. I'm all about supporting family businesses, but I just can't support Rocky Point anymore. They will lose a lot of our referral business as well. To sum it up..Bad customer service, dilapidated boats that don't work, and no empathy for ruining our trip. Stay away if you can.

You can tell when someone enjoys what they do! I feel like we could've spent hours out on the water if it didn't get quite choppy with the wind trying to head back to the dock. We lucked out and it was just the 3 of us out on the water for the tour, me and my sweetie in a double canoe. Bill took pictures of us and while crunched in a canoe with a life vest isn't a flattering look for me, I certainly didn't care at the time. We even helped clean up the area with our haul of trash! I called before the rental to speak to someone the day of the reservation because we were going to be slightly late and the woman on the phone told us they were closed for the season. I asked for a refund and she said they would refund me in the next couple days but that never happened. I called and emailed repeatedly and then made a police report to see if they could help me out. They attempted to contact the business but were unable to do so and told me that this had happened before. I still have not got a refund, so I would advise to never rent from them!!
