They confirmed yesterday, but this morning, no one showed up, and they now tell me I have to wait for other jobs to be completed first. First, they had an answering service answer, take my message and say someone will call back - no one ever called me back, I had to call again 2 hours later and go through the same process. I eventually spoke with someone who worked for CityGates, and arranged for an 8AM appointment the next day. CityGates sent a proposal, which we signed and returned within 30 minutes. There is nowhere to enter card information, however, so I asked (via email) how to pay and didn't get any response until 630PM when they said to call. I called, no one answered. I called again in the morning and they said someone would be there between 830 - 10 AM. I called and texted multiple times but did not get an answer. By 1030 still no one showed up, so I called back, and they finally gave me the tech's phone #, but said he is on another project in Manhattan and will be to my project in an hour or so. I ultimately had to cancel the service call. DO NOT USE CITY GATES IF YOU HAVE AN ACTUAL EMERGENCY OR NEED WORK DONE QUICKLY

Mike the owner brought me outside to show me the bars on their window and how a screw is drilled into the wall and the window bar frame has an eyelet that the screw is put thru. I was satisfied with that. But when the technician who showed up to install the bars did it a different way, I called Mike and complained. He told me it was just as strong and not to worry about it in a dismissive way, and ended up telling the technician to just make some of the welding material thicker. Total bait and switch and misleading. I knew it was pointless to pursue the issue as I could tell this is just his way of doing business. But be warned that he is dishonest and will just tell you what you want to hear just to make the sale. Look at the photos and you will clearly see the difference.
