Recently, however, we met with one of their representatives to discuss a scope of work for our next project and were given a date six weeks out for the estimator to visit and provide an estimate. On that date no one showed up and after calling England we were told they had no record of the appointment. We were then told the next available appointment for an estimate would be another four weeks. In our opinion this represents a complete lack of customer service and we can no longer recommend England Fence.

The contractor finished in August, and I wasn't amazed with the quality of the fence; he himself said, "this is the worst wood I ever received from Lowe's". And yet, my fence was put together with the sub-par wood. Fast forward two months later, my gate attached to the fence broke due to the wood splitting exactly where the gate latch attaches to my fence. I called the contractor, as he told me he would guarantee his work for one year. He did not answer, and I was not able to leave a voicemail, so I texted him on 10/17/24. I did not receive a response, so I called VW and spoke to a person, who was sympathetic to my plight, however referred me back to the contractor reiterating that their specialty is vinyl and metal fencing; he did say though, he would try to contact the contractor in person. I heard nothing. I texted the contractor again on 11/14/2024. On 11/18/2024, he responded and said he would stop by on 11/19/2024 to take a look at my fence. He did not show, and he did not contact me. I texted him again on 12/13/2024 again asking for help with my broken gate; he did not respond. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about the amount of money I spent for a brand-new fence, which I am overall not amazed with, and a gate which broke two months later. Nobody seems to care enough to help me. I understand that VW does not specialize in wood fences, however, it would be nice if they stood by the work of the contractor THEY referred me to. And now I likely have to pay someone else to help me. It's beyond upsetting.

I had an old cast iron pipe in my 113 year old house that had sprung a leak. Mark came over, went over the whole house, upstair, downstairs, and in the basement, just checking everything out as long as he was there, and didn't charge a service fee. He said replacing the old pipe was the best bet, nothing else was causing any issues. He got the parts and was back the next day to work on it till it was fixed. I highly recommend him!

Mark worked on a large project in my house. He charged over 16,000 $ for his services, worked very…read moreslowly, left project uncompleted, because when he requested additional 4,000$ payment I asked him to provide me with invoices for the hours he worked. I had to hire another plumber to correct the installation mistakes which Mark made installing my combined boiler and heater, it costed me additional 3,000$ to close the huge hole that Mark dug underneath my basement, he never mentioned to me that closing this property will require additional special resources. Finally Mark could not provide a very simple and cost effective solution to the problem I had with heating the bathroom, he offered an approach that would be very complex time consuming and very expensive while my new plumber resolved the issue with a very simple solution. Mark is not someone I would recommend to anyone.
