Today we decided to go to Mile High greenhouse and nursery As we packed in the cart, the lady owner said we were blocking the isles and took our cart. We told her that we were using it and she told us it was too full to get another one, she would put it next to the Register. So we did. As we got close to finishing up, we took our place in line. The lady owner kept giving us looks and saying "I know what 'You People' are doing!" We absolutely no idea what she was talking about. We tried asking but she made a scene and told us she knew what we were up to. She then told us she could refuse service to anyone and kicked us out. This happened in front of friends and family we know from growing up in the area. I do appreciate the lady's husband, whom apologized for the blatant outburst and assumptions that we were stealing plants. I'm not asking anyone by any means to stop going here, just simply sharing the fact that there can be/ still is racism and assumptions going on today. That despite it being a celebratory day, malice and hate can still be around.

Also very easy to work with when we were moving out (I've had a few property mgmt services that turned into evil badgers when you decided to leave). These people aren't like that and are very kind/nice people. Unfortunately they contract out their emergency services, so you can't get someone local on the phone right away if something happens. My fiance noticed significant water leaking into his place one night and couldn't get a hold of anyone. Turns out his neighbor's swamp cooler was never closed and their apartment was flooding with water, with no one there to report it. They did finally get out their and fix it, but it took longer than necessary. Also, they don't really "do anything" about current apartment problems. For example, our refrigerator leaked HORRIBLY (puddles of water under the ice machine) and they just kind of shrugged their shoulders and said "well, we could replace it, but it wouldn't be as nice of a refrigerator as you have now." Um....okay. Also, last annoying thing, but they don't accept rent online and you have to go drop off a paper check at the office. It's 2014. Anyway, they're totally worth renting from, but just know this stuff up front.

Recommend you ignore the verbiage in the lease and towards the end of your tenancy, use your…read moresecurity deposit as your last month's rent. PSGJ will gut your deposit for owner related upgrades and lining the pockets of their employees/contractors, i.e. replace outlet covers; re-keying the unit, while at the same demanding you return the keys or pay for the re-key (their own office documented that the keys were returned), and repainting after only a year's tenancy for a unit which was left in pristine condition. Find an owner/landlord property without the third party, and GJ isn't very big but you'd be better off with any other management company besides PSGJ. Side note, met the actual owner of my property who is from GJ but now lives in Chicago. He was physically in my unit multiple times just a couple of weeks before I moved out and he thanked me for taking such good care of the apartment. Be willing to bet PSGJ didn't share their unscrupulous behavior with him or the other property owners they represent. This warning is for potential tenants, but landlords too should be wary of the company they keep.

We weren't ready to even discuss landscaping at the time. He insisted on submitting a bid proposal for the landscaping job. He comes back with a $220,000 bid on Xeriscape for a less than 2 acre site. Of course, we didn't agree and decided to go with another group for less than $80,000. Months later, after Leon knew we didn't choose him for the job, he sends an invoice for $3,800 for his "time" in preparing a proposal. We had no contract and no agreement to work with him. After our project is completed, he files a lien on our project. Wouldn't recommend this guy to anyone. He's clearly a bottom feeder and can't be trusted. Before knowing this, I hired him to install a sprinkler system for me and experienced numerous problems. I also hired them to do other landscaping work, and their work was terrible. Not only did they bill for extra hours, but the onsite supervisor also spent the majority of his time on the phone while an undocumented worker did all the work, which was of very poor quality, but he, nevertheless billed me for every minute of the supervisor's time here.
