I delayed bringing my car to the shop until a work stall with a lift was available to begin working immediately. Alex told me that one would be available but when I arrived that wasn't the case. Therefore, he lied to me from the beginning. The job was completed the next day as he said it would but my car was left very dirty and greasy when I returned to retrieve it. When I asked for a rag to wipe the greasy from my shift knob, he proceed to wipe down the steering wheel and knob then used the same dirty rag on my door panel, scratching the paint. Alex informed me that my check engine light was on and tried to suggest that it may have already been that way before I brought my car to the shop. I was appalled at this suggestion for my car only needed a new clutch and nothing else. I'm sure he turned on the key and saw no such warning lights but was trying to cover up that it was damaged during their repair process. When I returned the next day to have them repair what they did, I was not greeted with respect and I will not return to this shop again, even if the check engine light returns. I was initially quoted a labor cost only to be baited and switched after he learning that I had a very nice vehicle. Albeit, the clutch works as expected but I cannot get over how smug and disrespectful Alex treated me during this entire time. One could say you get what you pay for but the disrespect is unacceptable, not to mention I had to wash my floor mat because it was so filthy. I made sure not to put them in my car when I brought it back. I had to spread paper bags all over the floor then I noticed they had their own paper shoe protection that was laying on the floor when I returned the second time. I think they do decent transmission work but if you care about how you are treated and the care of your car, I would not recommend them but if you want to go the economic route and do your own cleaning and hope to don't cause more harm to your vehicle then these are your options. The engine light wasn't on when I picked up my vehicle the second time, but they could have just erased it and may return in a few days. Alex never called me once to tell me my car was ready for pick up. I had to call him both times, and the first time I came to pick up my car, he told me he had texted about coming the next day after I already told him l'm on my way. We had never texted before and I later learned he never texted me at all, that's typical of my experience in a nutshell. read more

Brought in a Mazda 3 for a clutch repair here. My Mazda had around 155k miles on it and I went to a few other shops that diagnosed it as the same issues when my car struggled to shift into reverse and 1st gear. They gave me a good price of around 1300 dollars and after installing the clutch seemed great. Unfortunately it turned out I had shifter cables that were close to going bad and a few weeks after driving on the new clutch one of the 2 cables completely broke I believe and could no longer shift into reverse/1st/3rd. I don't fault them for this mistake as other car shops told me the same thing (and my clutch was likely getting worn anyways even if it didn't need a repair right now). Unfortunately for me and to no fault of the shop, my specific shifter cable for my specific trim of my Mazda 3 Mazda stopped manufacturing and the part was in extremely high demand online by any Mazda 3 owners needing the replacement so they did not exist anywhere online. This shop was extremely helpful and let me hold my car at their shop for an indefinite amount of time as me and them both looked for the part. I got incredibly lucky and found 1 person on ebay selling the exact part but they hadn't sold one in over 3-4 months and I dm'd the seller asking when he would put one up again and he said literally that night he would. So I stayed on my computer all night and when I saw it re listed immediately bought it up (850 dollars plus shipping from Canada for cables ugggh) but was able to get them. The shop was nice and let me hold my car there for another week and a half while the parts got to me from Canada and then came back to them and they put in the new cables and even dropped the price for the install. Alex was very helpful and honest/patient as I went through this troubling time trying to find that part and their prices for all the work I had done was extremely reasonable. Usually I'm not one for writing reviews but I heavily believe I was taken advantage of. I'm 21 years old and came to get a diagnosis. I already knew from the get go what was wrong with my car. I had a PCM and TCM error and had a diagnosis papers from a previous shop they were going to charge me $700 for the PCM plus labor and 1200 for the TCM. I came to this shop seeing the good reviews and also wanted another shop to compare prices. When we went out to the test drive this guy drove my car for about 7 miles and he even got on the freeway, sometimes pressing the throttle too harshly for my liking and was only using his eyes and ears to diagnose. The whole time I was worried my car is now more ruined than it was. As an honesty test I told the guy during the test drive that center console on the passenger side is hot and pointed to and told him to feel. He told me the transmission is overheating although the transmission is no where near that spot I told him to touch. He was also very persistent on having me pay him now and leave the car now to pressure me into doing business with him even as I told him I don't have the money yet. He offered a payment plan but what would happen if I did that and still didn't have the money even when it's finished. In the end he told me I needed a rebuild for 2800. I did not trust this guy and I was praying my transmission didn't die in the effort of trying to compare prices. I took it back to the original shop and I had told them I'll do it and when they opened my transmission again they noticed it now needed an entire rebuild when before it did not. Never coming here again and recommend other younger drivers to STAY AWAY! read more

So I just picked up my car from this shop and care is running great! I came across this shop on yelp and not gonna lie I was skeptical because it had no reviewa. After contacting the shop and getting the best price in town and also the best warranty, I brought my car in. After a quick diagnosis my car needed the transmission to be rebuilt. I really liked the constant communication keep by the mechanics, always calling me and asking me before they did any work. THIS IS FOR THE OWNER OF THIS TRANSMISSION SHOP. We first brought our car here to have our transmission rebuilt and it seemed like a good experience the first time. We started having more problems with our car and entrusted Alex as an honest mechanic. Right after the warranty expired, our car started having problems such as with the torque converter clutch and needing to the transmission oil be changed so I decided to go back still entrusting in them that they could help me and spending $500, and not even 3 months later, the same problems again. When I would call, Alex would not be nowhere to talk to and a guy named Rodolfo advised to bring it to him and see what he can do. However, I was met with hostility and dishonesty of me trying to address the problems that I thought were fixed. The last time they worked on my car on the torque converter clutch, something told me to take pictures, and this is what I found and realized that they were not taking the job serious to really help looking at a woman and minors inspecting my car. The area that they serve are not rich people, we are hardworking people that have to save money or use our savings to fix a car that we use daily for our needs and necessities. For the owner or owners, what solution can you bring to me? This is not right of the experience we had at this shop and with the workers. I gave 2stars because I feel as if they inflated the price on me because I'm a woman. . have a 2012 Nissan Altima the one in my car stopped on me so that was the only place nearby, I didn't have my glasses, and the guy gave me an estimate for $3,500 to rebuild my transmission; but when I got home and looked over here the paperwork I noticed he added another $280 to reprogram the transmission. That should have been included! And I looked up what it charges to reprogram the most the time is not over $240. It was my fault I didn't check with Nissan because they weren't going to even charge me $4000. Also I noticed in one of the reviews that somebody spent $2,000 on a rebuilt transmission and got a free oil change, and when I asked for that Alex said no they don't do that, and then when I showed him the Yelp review he blamed that one od his employees did it without his approval ... and ladies, when I asked him how much he would charge me for an oil change, he said $75! Now tell me ladies is he trying to raise the price on us because we are ladies? I've never had an oil change for $75!! Poor customer service! I think they showed a lot of favoritism I spent almost $4,000 and they couldn't give me an oil change! And on the receipt that said they would give me back the parts so I can see what they actually did, and Alex told me they sent my car somewhere else to get fixed! So they didn't even fix the car it was farmed out to another company .
