Unfortunately I ordered "The Sicilian", this is a rectangular thick crust pizza, not their usual thin crust. Uncooked dough and unbeknownst to me. First time using Postmates. I did not see that it was a thick or rectangle. This was my mistake. I called to complain to an older gentleman and they did not try to redeem my business. At this point I will pay more attention before placing my order. I also ordered French fries which were absolutely terrible. This isn't about the money but the quality of the food. One of the best pizzas I have had in the area. The under crust is just the perfect amount of crunch and undercarriage. Cheese and sauce flavorful. We visited the comic store next door. Last time ate here almost 15 years ago, as with the first time my pie was very delicious and flavorful. The service was helpful, the ambiance is cheerful with pictures of movie stars hanging on the walls who also enjoyed their pies. Not to mention the water they used was from Boston, but now imported from Italy. So forget the chain pizza parlors and give this place a try. read more

I really do love this joint. There's something different about their pizza in the best of ways. As I can't see what's going on in the kitchen, but it just seems like they're using much better ingredients than other small by the slice places in the area. It's full of flavor and rich, yet also light. It's one of those pizzas where you just start eating and without even realizing what you're doing, you just devour the whole thing in record time. I also really like all the employees. They're friendly and always feel gracious for your business. It always feels nice when employees make you feel like more than just a source of income. I haven't been here since I graduated from Pierce College. And even over 20 years has passed, the food is still as good as I remember. Now they have a gluten free crust which made me enjoy it more. I ordered my favorite, Bianco and it is as I recall, excellent taste and very satisfying as it was many years ago I would have ordered the garlic knots too, but these days I cannot have gluten. But if the food is as good as I got them and now, I am sure they would have been just as good. The place didn't change much, the walls still lined with celebrities with autographs and their compliments of having the greatest pizza they ever had. I can't say if they are real or not, but it's been the same ambience since the day became a customer. They did update the celebrities and the lighting. As for the service, they are still as friendly as before. They even kept my pizza in oven to keep it warm as I left for a few mins to go visit the shop in the area. This definitely is how they treated me back then too. Having hot/warm pizza when I came back was definitely part of their great service in making sure I enjoyed my meal. This is my new favorite go to pizza place, I used to think ameeci's and big mamas and papas were the best. But this place beats out both of them. It's high quality pizzas seasoned well prior to adding toppings the bread alone probably tastes good even before they add toppings its not too heavy with sauces and it's crunchy but soft on top this is exactly how I like my pizza. It's like thin crust in my opinion but says it's thick whatever the case it's my new favorite #1 pizza place it's better than the pizzeria factory and that used to be my go to. I think this place is family owned and has a couple locations in LA and Ventura county. The pizza we ordered was very good. We a ordered Large 16" Cheese Pizza Chicken ($1.75), Mushrooms ($1.75), Basil ($1.75), Thin crust. If this is their Marinara sauce on the pizza, I am ordering one of their pasta dishes with it. Very VERY good. I erroneously ordered a olive oil with garlic and parmesan with chicken. I made the mistake of coming here because I lived close to it and after waiting in their dimly lit restaurant, being patient with the two toddlers and the literal baby that are running around and screaming in the front and back of the restaurant without masks, I finally received what I thought was my order (a sub, a salad, and a pizza) to discover they charged us for two salads and gave us the wrong pizza entirely. This entire company especially this location has fallen to the ground since after the pandemic. This used to be my favorite pizza restaurant even though it was pricey but was worth it but honestly the quality and customer service is just not there. It's sad to see how a simple thin crust large cheese pizza can come out looking lopsided folded crushed half covered with sauce missing cheese for $22 if not more. Ridiculous and sad how this one iconic pizza place has become one of the worst places for good quality pizza. I'm okay with spending more money than usual but your customer service is lacking and your quality has gone down the drain. I would rate this place a 0/5 of I could. Enough chances. D'Amores doesn't care about their old school clientele anymore. Where's that iconic New York style pizza? Where is the friendly atmosphere? Where is the iconic cooks preparing each pie with care? It was a random choice .. I was in the mood for pasta.. I usually make it myself.. but didn't want it go buy anything..so I found a number of a local pizza place and order pasta and a pizza .. I went to pick it up after waiting 15 minutes.. it may have been a longer but I when I arrived it wasn't ready cause there was "what the hell happened to this to go order" and confusion also the blame game going on in the kitchen.. they didn't tell it but they didn't need to .. I knew .. so the question was .. should I just bail and go get something else or wait for them to make my order .. so I decided to wait it out .. so she charged my card .. total was $63 .. I was a bit surprised.. for a large pizza and chicken fettuccine.. I waited and waited and waited .. all the while other customers were coming in and picking up their orders .. and there I was waiting.. I thought maybe they would offer a free drink or throw in a dessert.. something but nothing .. I waited about 20-25 minutes.. I had to ask the cashier e where my order was .. finally I got the items .. she did say " sorry for the wait .. the food was decent but I felt their customer service wasn't great.. I saw they had a fairly busy operation going and they could have offered a drink .. that goes a long long way with people.. especially since it was a almost $70 order .. don't get me wrong .. First time trying this pizzeria and it wasnt impressive at all. I'm not sure if it was because the dough was gluten free or not but it did not have that doughy texture a pizza dough should have. My wife sad the dough was like eating crackers with toppings on it. If the dough was gluten free then that would make sense why it didn't have the same texture as regular pizza dough. However if it was gluten free that dough sucked! They need to change up that recipe for sure. The pizza also could have stayed in the oven a bit longer at a higher temperature because the middle of the pizza was limpy. I hate it when you grab your slice and the thing falls limp and your toppings fall off. I want a slice to be some what firm enough to hold without the toppings falling off. So a suggestion for the person in the back leave it in a bit longer and maybe at a higher temp also. I ordered a supreme or combination pizza which was loaded with toppings. My wife likes alot of toppings on her pizza but i think the lesser the toppings the more you can could taste each and every topping. Simple awesome toppings is great for me. I really enjoyed D'amore's pizza. I never knew about them till I got a Groupon. They have large pizza, the bread rolls are delicious, the salad was definitely different with all the cheese. I liked the decor it was simple but it also had pictures all around the restaurant of the D'amores with several different celebrities. It kept me occupied while waiting for the pizza. We order a combination pizza as well as their Sicilian pizza. The Sicilian pizza was good but I wouldn't order it again I enjoy red sauce this was white sauce.
