There was 18 games this season which allowed a lot of time and practice. The snack bar has great snacks like a typical baseball stadium. Other leagues we played didn't have snack bars so this was nice. The fields are the best. Ray really takes care of them and I'm so glad the whole field isn't just dirt. The grass is well maintained

We have great fields thanks to the president Ray and many adults that care about the kids and are involved with the teams. This is a smaller league that was a great fit for our family. Clean fields, a nice affordable snack bar great families. My son has played 10 seasons for little league and pony and this was by far a much more friendly atmosphere. You should check it out!

Little League here is very strong they do not play round here. There's like 67 maybe eight different fields just for little league baseball they hear, proud or prouder of the kids to play baseball the future baseball players little league as strong as the east side and the west side Westside is over there at Santa Fe And Silverado Park over here they got their fields you come on check them out you know that they're bringing some serious business year serious baseball going on here I was very proud to see congratulations kids that are out there doing their thing of the best for them

It's coolish. There are some GREAT coaches there. Some. Just some. But the place kinda stinks of secret handshakes and back door deals among a lot of them. The league continues to grow YOY , yet they're financially in the hole. Make the math work please. If you're signing up for ELB league and think you're going to be practicing anywhere at or near the field you'll be disappointed. They don't seem to be able set regimented schedules or secure practice time at reasonable nearby locations. It's a nightmare for working parents. It's sloppy on the management side, not nearly as bad as Heartwell Baseball, but not nearly as good as other leagues I hear about around town. The competition is good and high, so it makes for exciting ball in the upper divisions, but again, 50% of coaches think they're taking their 11-yr-old kid(s) to the MLB next year. The crowds are large which is cool....again....ish...except for the bad actors. And they're are plenty of them. And they aren't from the neighborhood.

Sports for learning provided a summer camp at my kids elementary school this summer. I was…read moreextremely disappointed by their coaches/counselors that were in charge of the children. First of all, I discovered that the counselors used profanity in front of the children, on a daily basis. Not only that, but when some of the kids started using inappropriate language, the coaches laughed and did not provide any guidance to stop this behavior. I only found out about this after several weeks,, when some of the children mentioned it to me and some of the other parents. When I brought it to the attention of the school district and the regional manager, they finally brought out supervisors to address it. Unfortunately the kids were already exposed to so much inappropriate language by then. The "sports" aspect of the program was not very educational or coordinated. The kids didn't really learn any rules of the games or improve any skills. It was basically just having them run around during these activities. In addition, at least one of the coaches contracted COVID during the camp and many kids were exposed to it. I honestly do not know how many contracted it, but it was very irresponsible for the counselors to put themselves at risk for, and catching Covid, especially when caring for elementary school children. I know many families who did not remain in the camp, due to the poor experience that our kids had with their coaches. I'm sure they have some good employees working for them who might have good backgrounds in caring for kids. But be sure to evaluate the counselors that are being used at each individual location. We were quite unhappy with the ones used for us.

Aside from not caring about covid protocols that we were told were put in place, they let the kids eat inside and smushing them together under the awning to eat other times, they didn't care at all when I brought it to their attention. The counselors didn't act appropriately around these young kids and used inappropriate language. Keep in mind this is an elementary school. These kids are very young. They were more like drill sergeants than camp counselors. It was an awful experience.

Los Alamitos Youth Baseball (LAYB) is member of the Pony Baseball organization. They offer youth…read morebaseball programs in both the Fall and in the Spring. They offer league play for boys and girls ages 4-14. It is a well organized, well run youth sports program. The fields are kept in pristine condition, the facilities are better than any you will find locally. Best place for your kids to learn and love the game of baseball. Full snack bar is available during the season offering everything from hot dogs to Chinese chicken salad (its' what their known for). This league was recently chosen to host the Pony Bronco Division World Series because of the quality of the facilities and operation. They are home to this prestigious event that hosts teams from all over the World. Can't go wrong...best place around to play youth baseball.

I love that the kids are learning through play in a small group setting, which makes it both fun and engaging. One of the best parts is the leadership development: the older kids coach and encourage the younger ones, which builds skills and responsibility for everyone involved. The program truly meets each child where they are and helps them get comfortable and active, even if they have no prior swimming experience. We couldn't be happier with our experience!
