Love the upgraded parking and road to accommodate more cars compared to the past. But you must come for the sunset, and stay for the peaceful long walks and all that nature has to offer. Great spot to also go for a hike/walk, bike the dirt roads, and enjoy nature with occasional croc sitings and evens Everglades deers. Enjoy a boat passing by or even an airboat. Nice outdoor trail that you must experience and hike at least once. Easily assessable, peaceful, picturesque views, amazing sunsets, and an abundance of nature all sure won't disappoint.

People bring their chairs and wait to view the sky and watch the sunset in silence. This Trail is quiet and also perfect for bikers and runners. People also bring their dogs for a nice walk. Trail is home to many species of birds and you can spot alligators and snakes if you get lucky. Wide open area where fishing is allowed. You can see people fishing from their boats as well as near the canal. I enjoy coming here whenever I want to enjoy nature and do my meditation walk. It provides me with a sense of calmness and tranquility. There is parking but try to get there early before Sunset time as it can get crowded and parking is limited. Bring bug spray as there may be mosquitos in the area.

I have driven past it many times and curious to what it is about. It's a simple park , quiet and tranquil Despite the location. I came with my son, my friend and her daughter. There are so no playgrounds/stations for kids but they still loved it. It was beautiful. At one point on the walking trail there was a large bush that was drawing in a handful of butterflies. So lovely. My son is 8 and he has asked to go back multiple times.

In the 1980's when the Oriole Homes Corporation was developing the Country Place residential community on the north side of Holmberg Road in Parkland they offered to buy something to decorate the park and make it memorable for the residents of the new community. Parkland Commissioners Maryjane Sexton and Bobbi Pugliese wanted something that embodied the country setting so they picked a covered bridge. The bridge was suppose to cross over water but they didn't have any it could span so instead it connects land that runs between two canals. The park was deeded to Parkland on October 18, 1989. There isn't a parking lot for this park since it was designed for use by the people who lived in the community. I parked in the strip mall across the street from Holmberg Rd. and took the short walk up. The park is accessible from Holmberg Road or Hillsboro Boulevard through a tree lined trail on the west side of Winners Circle. The trail runs between the canal and apartments and it connects Covered Bridge Park to 6-acre Park off of Hillsboro Boulevard. I love a covered bridge and this park is so tranquil. In addition to the lovely bridge perfect for photos and as a backdrop for picnics, the hiking trail that runs between the two parks is wonderful for getting exercise. On my stroll I saw turtles, butterflies, and birds. This is just another reason why the name of Parkland is perfect for this picturesque city.

This a duplicate listing of the Sawgrass Trailhead at Atlantic Boulevard…read more https://yelp.to/JtWKhdLchQ This place is open daily from 8 am to sunset and operated by Broward County. It's right off Atlantic Boulevard, just west of the Sawgrass Expressway in Coral Springs. The parking lot is spacious but does get full during peak times. The trail is unpaved on gravel and dirt; it's a 27-mile loop that goes along the everglades. There were many people walking, biking, and fishing. I've seen all types of wildlife there; from alligators, snakes, and herons. Sunset is a very popular time because it's so beautiful. I had a photoshoot there and the pictures came out lovely. There are three access points, this location, the Sawgrass trailhead, Markham Park, and the Sawgrass Recreation Center. There are not many trails around the area so this is the closest thing to nature you can get out in South Florida. I've always enjoyed walking on the trail there and taking in nature, right near the hustle and bustle. Overall, a beautiful place and a must see, especially during sunset!
