They have a changing room and you can leave your street clothes there while you ride. I was even given a fresh café at the end of my ride! So good. What a great place to ride. So, I found Paris Bike Company and set up a ride with Sam, sending him the dimensions of my bike in advance. The original day we'd arranged for was rainy, and he was super-flexible about postponing it a day or two. Once in Malakoff, I easily found his shop and Sam waiting for me. Sam is super-chill and isn't there to kick your butt, but rather lets you set the pace according to your ability (I discovered I'd been eating and drinking a little too much on my trip, so being allowed to set our pace was a good thing). We set off on our ride, him explaining some of the local rules of the road so as to make the trip a safe one. We rode out to Versailles and back, about a 50km round-trip. During the trip, Sam was a great tour guide. If it hadn't been quite so chilly (and I'd been a little better dressed for the cold), I would have gone out for longer. Although it cost a bit to do, having a private two-hour tour of the countryside was one of the best things I did in Paris!

But I had an appointment which required me to lock up my bike. Thankfully, this Decathlon was only a five minute bike ride away where I walked my bike in, bought an additional lock to complement the one I already had, and came up with a new system for storing my bike lock keys when riding :-)

This is the WORST experience we had. Andre promised us a discount if we returned the bike early…read more When it started raining, we called him and he said bring the bike back, I will see how I can help you. We rode in the rain to return the bike, and he said I can't do anything since the invoice has been created. He then charged us the FULL 2 day rental amount. We asked him why didn't he tell us earlier, he said 'you didn't ask'. He also said,' I was away from my system when you guys called' . Either he didn't know his system well or he intended to trick us. If the management is reading this, please reach back to help us.
