Thanks to Kim Atienza of BIR, I have to frequent internet shops to file my taxes through the e-BIR filing system. Because, you know, BIR suddenly realized it's 2015 and decided to "keep up with the times" *insert sarcastic chuckle here*.
And by "keeping up with the times", to them it means building a whole online system that only works on Windows systems, can be opened in Firefox or Internet Explorer (how about Netscape Navigator guys?!?!?!), incompatible with Google Chrome, and basically she just doesn't want Mac users to be able to conveniently file taxes on our current systems. WHAT. IS. HER. DEAL?
Anyway, this dilemma brings me to Cybr, which is a pretty nice internet shop. And as far as internet shops go, this is like the Starbucks of internet shops. No groups of noisy, testosterone-y teenagers playing games (though they do offer gaming, but no rowdy customers), no grimy/oily keyboards, GREAT seating (comfy couches! No monobloc chairs in sight), good lighting, and the ambiance is quite modern and very fitting for an internet shop. Their connection speed is A-OK, too.
Rental charges here are a bit steeper than your average internet shop sa kanto of course (and it's inside a mall so that's a given), but I do think the comfortable experience is worth it as there's decent air-conditioning! They do offer printing and photocopying as well. So far so good. read more
