What a lovely place to enjoy a wine flight or share a bottle!…read more Some friends were flying into Boise Airport to visit us, so we had them meet us at Telaya Wine Co. Since it's in Garden City and close to the airport, it made picking them up so much easier than dealing with all the airport traffic. Of course, our friends arrived before us and already had a bottle of wine waiting! This will definitely become one of our go-to spots whenever we're meeting friends arriving in Boise--or enjoying one last glass before dropping them off for their flight. Weather permitting, sitting outside along the Greenbelt makes the experience even better. Great wine, beautiful surroundings, and such a convenient meeting spot!

Yoga Nidra, 4:00 p.m. The Guide: Crystal Moore * Yoga Nidra Crystal invited us to find a place on the grass. Some chose shade. The sun called me. She shared how yoga found her when she needed it and how it changed her life. Then Yoga Nidra. Lie still. Follow her voice. Rest somewhere between waking and sleep. She invited us to bring a sankalpa, a short intention, a promise from somewhere deep within. Mine surfaced. Then I drifted off. Crystal's voice brought me back. The sun warmed my face. I drifted off again. Back to her words. Back to the sun. Gone again. Eventually, she guided us to the earth beneath us. Hands in the grass. A wiggle of the toes. We sat up. Namaste. We were free to try essential oils or stay a little longer in the sun or shade. The Space & Place: Thrive * Boise JUMP gave the festival room to spread out. Open plazas. Rows of colorful tents. Movement, meditation, art, and wellness resources for all ages. Some vendors were packing up, but there was plenty left to explore. If Boise were home, I'd look for Crystal at True North Yoga. Boise, you keep surprising me. The Sum-Up: The class was free. I asked Crystal if she accepted donations. She smiled. "Receive. Just receive." Field Note: Receiving is a practice, too.

First of all, the venue is spacious and works perfectly for a large event. The venue provided breakfast, lunch, and appetizers, and drinks everyday of the conference and the food was amazing. The first day we had salmon bowls with rice and veggies they were delicious! Everything is top notch and I hope they decide to hold next year's conference here.

It is a great facility with an excellent location and very accommodating staff. I've been involved in hosting two find raisers here for a charter school and a community radio station. I also attended a holiday work party. As a host, I had everything I needed to pack the house for a dinner in one case and a speech by a celebrity news anchor in the other. As a guest I found the space a little too bright for a festive gathering. I think the organizers just didn't know how to set up the lighting correctly because at the other events we took advantage of the accent lighting to highlight a speaker and information/book signing tables. Bar services are available through the sister company, the Modern Hotel. I wish the kitchen were bigger because I think it was a little hard for our caterer to plate up in the little space they have. The managers are supper helpful and flexible. And believe me, this is key when you are dealing with a chaotic events planning committee or a picky mother-in-law when you are planning your event or wedding reception!

Kira was on top of drinks at the bar and taking care of us and everyone had a blast. I will say that scheduling this event was very difficult and challenging with the person who I had initial contact with. It would take days or even weeks to get a response, I never knew what was happening and was deeply concerned with how the event was going to turn out due to her lack of communication - but these 3 made up for it and our group had a blast. It would be awesome to see some fresh updates to the space, but this is a great venue nonetheless.
