Went to pick up my adderall medication this morning. Walked up to the pharmacy counter and the lovely lady with glasses told me "good morning, we'll be right with you." I said "No worries." I am standing in the middle register out of 3. Alona, at least that's what it said on her name tag, comes up to the register to my left, slams the card reader down, and waits for me to come over. Which, no worries maybe you have to really push the readers to get them in place. I smile and start to say "Hi" and she goes "Yes?" in the snarkiest tone I've ever heard. Like she was over it. Alona, this is your job! She was so rude. I was visibly surprised and taken aback, and then half stuttered/laughed saying "I need to pick up a prescription please." I love to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I tried to brush it off. She asked me for my name, which I told her, and followed that with my date of birth. She goes "What?" I cannot describe how shocked I was. I was in no manner being rude, I was trying to kill her with kindness. The "What?" was made with the snarkiest face and attitude. I said "Oh, sorry!" And then repeated my DOB. Still trying to kill with kindness. I know it's early. She walked away, not saying a word. Then, back turned to me, "You got your ID?" I said "Yes ma'am." She comes with my medication and then says "$7.37" Typically, I sign multiple times and then pay, after they check my ID. Which, adderall is a controlled substance, and it is entirely necessary to check the ID. Long story short, she was very rude and barely checked if I was the one needing to pick up my own adderall. read more
