I am sad to see recent negative reviews for this CVS Pharmacy location…read more On a recent vacation, my husband forgot his prescription meds at home. Within a couple of hours, this CVS had his meds ready for pickup, after he called his doctors office for a short supply. We were impressed by how fast this CVS helped and were able to pick up a few weekend essentials for our stay in MI too. Thank you.

I've finally built up the courage to share this experience…read more I went to the CVS drive-thru to pick up a prescription that was marked as ready. After waiting in line behind a few cars, I reached the window, only for the pharmacist to close the gate without saying a word. Confused, I parked and went inside to ask why. A worker informed me that the pharmacist had gone on lunch and wouldn't return for 30 minutes. It was my day off, and although I had plans, I decided to wait. I returned to my car and parked in front of the window to be first in line when they reopened, knowing how quickly the line can build up. When the pharmacist returned from lunch, they asked for my information and then told me I'd have to wait another 30 minutes, despite the text I received saying my prescription was ready. Frustrated, I explained my situation, but they were dismissive. A car pulled up behind me, and they asked me to pull forward and continue waiting. I expressed my frustration again, and one of the pharmacy staff responded, "Do you like making old people wait for their prescriptions?" At that point, I felt insulted and discriminated against for being a young woman. Despite my calm explanation, they asked me to leave the drive-thru. I declined, stating I just needed my prescription. Another pharmacy worker then came outside, took photos of my license plate, and called the police on me. They waved the photo of my plate at me through the window, asking if it was mine, all while I was still waiting for my prescription. Eventually, the pharmacist handed me the prescription. By that time, the police had been called to the location, and they were told I had been threatening and causing a scene. Shockingly, the pharmacy staff even sent the police to my home, claiming I was a threat and banning me from the location. For context, I'm 5 feet tall and weigh less than 110 pounds. I never cursed, threatened, or insulted anyone. I simply explained my frustration with the wait and the situation, only to be met with hostility and victimization. I contacted CVS corporate, and after reviewing the footage, they acknowledged the pharmacist was in the wrong. They also admitted the pharmacy should have posted clear drive-thru hours, including the lunch closure. Corporate promised I'd receive a letter, but I never did. Instead, I got a phone call with a verbal apology. After this humiliating and frustrating experience, I cannot recommend this CVS location. If you value respectful treatment and timely service, I suggest you go elsewhere to avoid being victimized and left waiting for something as basic as a prescription.

This review actually has mixed emotions. I've lived in the area for 31 and have never been treated…read morewith such disrespect as I have been with the current female pharmacist. The store employees are great, the store is wonderful, considering the small town in which it's in. I've been living with migraines for the last 3 years, as many as 3 a week. If it's not a migraine, it's a horrible headache. I take Aleve, tylenol and advil everyday. My doctor prescribed a pain med that has been the only thing that gives me relief. Yes, it's a narcotic, and no I'm not thrilled to be on it, but until we can find another option for pain relief, I have no choice. Last month, the female pharmacist called the current pharmacy that I was getting my meds from, and told them that they couldn't fill my prescription because it was a duplicate, and that I had a current prescription with them, which I did NOT, have a current one. Two days after waiting for my script from the other store, I called and told me about it getting cancelled. I immediately got on the phone with the CVS pharmacy in New Carlisle, and asked what was going on. I spoke with the manager of the pharmacy and he informed me that he did not speak with the other store, so he was unaware of what was going on. He told me to just have my doctor send in another prescription, and he would fill it. I waited until the next morning to pick up my prescription, and unfortunately, the woman pharmacist was working. I asked for my prescription, and she yells at me from across the pharmacy that the order was cancelled. I continued to try to explain that I had spoke to the manager the night before, and she kept throwing her hands in the air, and would not even let me finish my sentence, all she kept yelling was that it was cancelled. I had already gone a week without my prescription for pain, so i continued to try to explain that I had talked to the manager the night before. Anyone in the store at that time would have easily heard her yelling at me and all I was doing was to try and explain my situation, calmly. I did not leave, and finally she checked the computer and saw that I did in fact, have a prescription filled to pick up. No apology from her, just rang up my order and asked for payment. I was so embarrassed. Yesterday morning (28 days later), I went to order my refill because I was getting ready to go out of town, and had noticed online, it was available to request a refill. Normally they are very quick about refilling the scripts, although I was not desperate for those meds. Several hours later, I thought it was strange that I did not receive any notification, I went online and saw where it was still acting as if I never requested the refill, so I went ahead and ordered it again. An hour after that, I did not receive a notification so I went online, and saw where it was cancelled. Instead of calling them and asking what happened, I went into the store. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! The female pharmacist was working so I immediately knew this was not going to be good. There were 5 other employees in the pharmacy at the time, not too mention 3 customers behind me in line. I asked the employee that waited on me to look at my orders, one I wanted to know why it was cancelled, and to put another script on hold. When she asked for my name, the female pharmacists overheard and once again YELLED across the room that it was cancelled. I commented that it was available for refill online, that was the only reason I ordered it, all while she was STILL yelling not allowing me to speak and telling me that I WAS NOT TO BELIEVE THE INFORMATION ON THE APP, OR ONLINE, and that "I TOLD YOU LAST MONTH THAT YOU CAN'T REFILL, etc...." I was never so humiliated in my life because everyone within 50 ft of her could hear her yelling at me. She had me so flustered I couldn't even tell the employee about the other script. All I could say to here was that I'd have to come back. I literally went into my car and cried because in the 30 years that I lived there, I had never been so mistreated or humiliated for no reason. I would think that there would be something against the HIPPA law for her to discuss my medical information so loudly and for everyone to hear. There is no doubt that I will travel 30 out of my way to have my scripts filled at a Meijer pharmacy. For one, they're cheaper and #2 they are so much nicer. So much for supporting my only local pharmacy. Once again, I must say that the pharmacy Manager, and employees are great, but that woman pharmacist is rude and unprofessional.

Overpriced on everything. Check your medication pricing elsewhere and you will be amazed at the…read moresavings.
