Pharmacy has no interest in helping Veterans…read more On Saturday May17th I picked up the urgent prescriptions I could afford out of pocket issued from St Mary's hospital after I was released. The remaining three, I couldn't afford I asked if they could forward to the VA in Columbia. (breathing treatments, not boo boo cream) I was told no. TODAY, MAY 22 and after spending I don't know how many hours on the phone, with the VA, CVS Caremark, and the hospital, Walmart finally said they would transfer the remaining prescriptions to the VA. Eastanollee Walmart Pharmacy has no interest in serving Veterans of the United States Services. Don't bother. I can go to another grocery store. I can order on Amazon or any number of other places. Honestly, I can't think of another reason to do business with this store. The pharmacists unwilling to help is inexcusable. After six days of struggling to breath and still trying with them is the straw that broke my back. Might as well post a sign. NO VETERANS ALLOWED.

He watched me do it, and he said I was doing it right, but that the medicine was not being delivered. I talked to my PCP, and she took me off the medication. Everyone is friendly and personable. They fax the doctor right away if I need a refill on a medication. This way, I get my medicine sooner.

Tip for New Customers: For future customers, please, please don't both drop off & wait for your prescription to be filled at the Pickup Window. Go back around the line, wait in the back parking lot or run some errands because it generally takes 45-90 min. to get a medication filled, especially when busy. A couple of cars behind me got tired of the wait and left. When it was my turn FINALLY she tried to rush me through. I thought she was rude, but I guess when you don't have any other options in a small town like Toccoa they don't care. Very inefficient and Poor customer service. Got my flu shot at Walgreens and I'll shop there from now on.

Sometimes it is simply better to allow a…read morecustomer to speak directly to the pharmacist on the phone rather than shield them from a customer question. The pharmacist has all that knowledge about drugs, and interactions, and what goes well with a particular condition, whereas clerks and technicians do not. The irony is that everyone wants to save the pharmacist's time, but in the process, wasted everyone's time. The cure here would have been to let the pharmacist speak to the customer directly, even at the risk of letting that customer stay on hold a moment, if needed.
