However, I do not know what to say regarding a physician that tells you all of your tests were perfectly normal, provides copies of results and you find out they were the farthest thing from normal. My PCP has always recommended this ER and I have also but now it is a maybe. My PCP had plenty to say regarding my results. I do not know exactly why the doctor made the choices that were made. A lot of people have told me that ER physicians don't take women seriously which is true in some cases. However, it did not seem that way at all, perhaps good showmanship with a shallow thought process. The physician did try to put words in my mouth. In retrospect I should have taken that more seriously but I wasn't doing well and just accepted what I was told without question. I will not return though based on this visit.

My son has an illness that causes him to get dehydrated every 48 hours but also causes his…read morepotassium to get very low, which is dangerous. I took him in today to get help. We saw Dr. Henderson they took his blood, checked his vitals and found that he was dehydrated and needed potassium. My son also suffers from mental health issues and one of his issues is anxiety. He hasn't been able to take his medication because he's been throwing up. He started to go into a full blown panic attack. He said he needed to get out and get air. His panic attack was so bad he just wanted to leave. I told the doctor he was having a panic attack. She suggested giving him Benadryl. He told her Benadryl was gonna do anything for his condition at the moment to just please take the IV out so we could leave at that point there was nothing hooked up to the ID. The needle was just hanging from his arm. He said he needed to sign a paper that he was leaving against medical advice. He apologized and said he was fine signing that he just wanted to go home and take his anxiety medication and he would try to come back. He was extremely apologetic and felt really bad about leaving. Dr. Henderson was visibly upset about him leaving and was very rude. As we walked out of the doors, the police were waiting outside for us to tell us that the doctor had issued a criminal trespass against us. She did not have a reason and would not speak to us. My son was polite very nice the whole time he signed the paperwork with no problem, and was extremely apologetic. If you have any type of mental health issues, do not visit this place, Dr. Henderson traumatized my son in the middle of a panic attack by calling the police to do a criminal trespass. Go anywhere else in Texarkana, but do not go here. I have no criminal background I don't even have traffic or parking tickets. I have never been so disrespected in a moment of need in my life by facility in place to help you. Corporate will not get back to me in regards to this, and the facility will not give me a response as to why the police were called. Again, do not go to this place I highly suggest against it.
