I mean there's the King of these places like Buc-ee's and I remember one near the Mexico border that had NO door on the toilet and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Alamo. This place was super clean, had lots of convenience items with a friendly staff AND their chicken looked and smelled so good I had to try it. Wow, gas station dining is like Russian roulette and not for the faint of heart but the chicken here is legit! If I lived near this place I'd no doubt be a regular, certainly for the fried chicken, but because these folks know how to run a traveler's oasis where it's well lit, clean, friendly and got some kickin' chicken. Bottom line: Well stocked and friendly staff, spotlessly clean and did I mention that have really good chicken :-)

They also had a special shampoo I like that I can never get anywhere else, Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil 3 Minute Miraculous Recovery. The bad thing was that it cost about $3 more than it normally costs. All their prices seemed a bit higher. Also, it's not a 24-hour Walgreens, which, let's face it, is the biggest draw for this drug chain. Still, it kept me from having to make a trip to Walmart just for Coke and shampoo, so it was ok. Employee was nice and asked if I had a Walgreens card, which I always forget to show. She was also patient when I had trouble with the credit card machine. There was a bit of a line though, as she seemed to be the only employee in the store.
