This is also one of the few Walgreens that is opened 24 hours a day. I've had to come here before at extremely late hours. Other Walgreens in the surrounding area aren't open 24 hours, but this one is and that makes it very dependable. There is a Redbox on the outside of Walgreens, which makes it ideal to rent movies when you have nothing to do. This place used to be the place were I would buy video game magazines, as their magazine selection is extensive. However, I tried doing that recently and I couldn't find a single one. They seem to have gotten rid of those magazines so I was disappointed on that. For your medical or beauty needs, this is the place to go.

Even the frozen vegetables section was impressive - cauliflower mash and cauliflower rice as sides helped to even out all of the unhealthy options available in the freezer aisles. I had a fridge and microwave at my hotel so I stocked up on food for the week I was here. I got a bag of salad for $3.50, and the vegetarian chicken tenders I buy at home to make salads with during the week. It's great to have the comfort foods of home with you when you're sleeping in a new place and adjusting to the jet lag etc. When I was done with my grocery shopping I went over to housewares to see about some jars - they had a good selection, although the layout of this section of the store was odd. SAMs was quickly becoming a place that I didn't want to frequent. It used to have long lines and…read morethe self checkout options were getting packed too, defeating the purpose of a speedy buy and run. However, one thing has redeemed my now frequent visits. This is the SAMs Scan and Go app, available in your iPhone/Android devices. The only reason why I have a SAMs card is because I am a teacher. I sometimes need to buy things in bulk as incentives for my students. However, the items I buy are rarely more than 10 items combined, and I know specifically what I want and where to find it. It used to take me longer to wait in line at a register to pay and to put the items I needed in the cart. Along comes the Scan and Go app. With it, after you register your SAMs card and your debit card, you can scan the items that you want as you put them in the cart with your phone. The app will tally up your items total on the fly. When you are ready to leave SAMs, just click "Checkout," and you pay within the app. No need to make a line at the registers anymore. I just pay at whatever point of the store I happen to be, walk straight to the exit, then show my digital receipt to have it scanned (as is customary for these type of stores) and I'm on my way to the vehicle. I have done this 3 times now, and I turned what would normally be a 25 minute trip into a 7 minute trip. If more stores do something like this, shopping anywhere would be a more pleasant experience everywhere. I commend Sam's for being a trailblazer in the Scan and Pay department. Tip my hat to you.
