This store is huge and needs as many employees to accommodate the needs of customers. The coupon machine/price checker was offline, the pharmacy had about 20 people waiting, and the front cash registers had only one employee working with a queue of 4 to 5 people. After a few minutes in line, I abandoned my purchase and didn't want to wait. The interior was largely very clean. They had a lot of Christmas stuff left, which is priced at 70% as of the first week of January. read more

Easily the worst CVS in the area. Last year, one of the pharmacy cash registers had a name written in dust for almost 6 months, on the side facing the customers, until I brought it to staff attention. also, why does the Pharmacy need to close for lunch while the rest of t he store is open? Why can't they have staggered lunches, or at least leave a Clerk available for pharmacy pick up? the Only bright spot in this store is one of the clerks up front always greets each customer as they enter the store. read more

Poor service ! I have been coming here for years and have been putting up with the sporadic poor service, losing a pain medication prescription that I walked in and came back less than a half hour later and they could not find it. I had just had surgery and had my uBer drop me off at this CVS just to fill that prescription. They eventually found it after the Pharmacist got involved. They have: - Lost prescriptions. - Continue to fill prescriptions that I have repeatedly informed them I do not take any longer. - Half the time the cashier/tech giving you your prescriptions gets an attitude if they must do anything more then ring up your bill. The cashier that gave me my prescriptions had poor customer service skills. Her body language and continuous sighing at the end of every sentence made it obvious it was a bother to answer a question. If it was my establishment I would remove here immediately. This is just one example that has made me look at other Pharmacies. Not going to waste too much time writing this review because I am kind of done with them. My advice if your looking for a Pharmacist do not come here. I have lived in the SE DC area most of my life and try to patronize the establishments in my area but when it comes to something as serious as my medications, I will have to start looking at other Pharmacies. read more

I have been in on several occasions because i put in for refills that were not filled and no updates. CVS PHARMACY IN RIVERTOWNE IS THE WORST! They said it would be ready by 6pm and I dropped off my prescriptions yesterday morning. I gave them a day and still nothing. They told me 30 mins today, waited longer. Now I'm told he will have it done in 10 mins. What is the hold up? read more

It has gotten a lot better. I don't usually have to wait in long lines likely due to the time that I go. I go during the day and have my app ready with my RX info. It does suck that everything is locked up or has to be behind the cash register but it's our own fault. As a people, we need to so better. If you need Dove so bad that you need to steal it, hit the library, sign up for Ebates and Groupon and get Dove with cash back just like you get from flippin CVS where they always have sales and cash back. This was my "to go" cvs growing up for 20+ years, now when I visit this area it's a ghost of its former self. Plain talk it's horrible.....long lines, two cashiers, no floor help. I have never in my 63 years experienced such incompetence from someone with education level as a pharmacist . Chantal was not able to get a transfer on a valid prescription that had two refills. After allowing for someone totally void of personality and who hated her job, am still amazed that she has been able to keep her job. A substitute pharmacist Frank was able to resolve my problem in one day that she couldn't do in three weeks. When I informed him that I had contacted corporate and he passed that on to her. She then called and tried to explain what had happened but only became argumentative and tried to point me out to be a dug seeking fool.She became ridiculous suggesting I was asking her to break the law. I only wanted her do her job! Unfortunately for me I have just moved across the street and because of my multiple health issues I have 12 prescriptions that I have filled once a month. It is too convenient for me to be put off by her behavior.I would like for my future transactions to be cordial but in the end it is just a business arrangement and that is how I will treat it. One additional comment several prescriptions are ones they obviously don't stock it took an unreasonably long time to get it. One that actually came in as only a partial. I am waiting for that call from corporate. The one advantage of working with such a large corporate pharmacy is everybody has a boss and I am tenacious enough to go as I high as need be to resolve this situation. I go to CVS Oxon Hill, MD . The cashier Carolyn always says hello and smiles with a line going all the way down the aisle Sometimes a manager might help sad. The last 4 times going in trying to get Revlon, Loreal any cosmetic product shelves empty ? Half the items on sale have no signs, it's very sad because Branch Ave is the same way . I work in VA go into those CVS they have help for the poor one cashier, stores clean , stocked especially Monday one day after the sale begins . The worse service ever! My husband dropped off a prescription and was told to return in an hour. When he returned, he was told that there was a backup and to return in 2 hours. When he returned, he was told to come back the next day. When he returned the next day, he was told that this medication was out of stock and no one knew when they would get the medication. We never received a phone call stating this. Then yesterday I dropped off a prescription for my husband at 7:00pm and was told to return in an hour 8:00. I returned at 8:30 and waited in a long line until 8:45 and was told that my prescription was not ready, but would be in 10 minutes. Well, I finally received my prescription at 9:20. Very frustrating. This is typical service for this pharmacy - very unprofessional and we only use it when we don't have a choice. read more
