I can't really do this review with the same enthusiasm as I would for a restaurant that sells…read moreenormous, delicious burgers, but I feel compelled to pay honor to a store I visit frequently. It may not be Republic or the Apple Store but by golly they hook me up with my drugs on a regular basis. If I'm feeling frisky I may even get an energy drink or some greeting cards! The people are always friendly and to date they've never swapped my prescription out with something that could kill me. Both excellent qualities if you ask me. Most recently, they told me that my preapproval for a prescription was denied. I asked them to find out why. Without further correspondence, they contacted me a little over a week later and told me I needed to pick up my prescription "TODAY or it would be returned to stock." I asked why it was turned down in the first place and the young woman simply stated, "I don't see that it was denied. It has been waiting for you to pick it up for about a week." This would not be so bad if not for the fact they absolutely will not even accept a refill request until the day it is due to be refilled. So I have waited over a week without meds. The med in question is lyrica for my peripheral neuropathy. And this might not be so bad if they showed ANY degree of empathy or sympathy for the pain I have endured all this time. And hey, they say simply I should have requested a refill sooner. Hmmm, I'm on auto refill. Why didn't they alert me ahead of time that the refill was declined. In short, they seem to have no idea what professionalism is required of ANYONE in the medical field. Note, this is far from the only issue I have had with them over the years. Heading off a question, I can see this pharmacy from my backyard. I can walk there if I want to and not even get my car out of the garage. This is the ONLY reason I tolerate this otherwise unacceptable mediocracy. One more comment, each one of the employees can be quite pleasant, but they seldom ever come across as any sort of a team. So if you catch that one person who is having a pleasant day, you have a good chance of doing well there. Unfortunately, that is less than a fifty fifty chance of doing well there on any given day. So maybe I am being generous with this THREE STAR review. Then again, if the pharmacist sees one of the clerks treating me badly, he often steps in and takes charge, which, unless they are both having a bad day, is a good thing. He seems to be a good pharmacist, if he worked in a back room away from customers while he works on filling orders. But as far as frontline customer service goes, I find his effort lacking.
