CVS Pharmacy - Impressive storefront, some old inventory. - Drugstores Near Me - Ocean Springs, Mississippi

I live 3.5 min from this CVS. In my 62 yrs, I've never picked up an ice cream product as messed up as this nearly $7.00 item (Reeses Ice Cream Sandwich pack). It's about four to five min ride back home, done with air conditioning running. I get home and immediately place in the perfectly functioning freezer. 15 min later, I go to have one. Through the wrapper, by touch, I know there's something unique going on. I opened it, put it under light, and see it's a pile of goop with a two - inch icicle inside. All four items were utterly ruined. I placed them back in the freezer and thought I'd type this review to maybe help someone out and to alert CVS here (though I'm not sure anyone still works there; I saw no one the last three times I've been there, btw) that this might be indicative of a problem there. I know I wasted 20-min, there, back and shopping and doing my own checkout, of course. Another five-min used in fooling with ruined item and SEARCHING FOR A "USED BY DATE (though that doesn't excuse squashed, softened condition either way)"- THERE WAS NONE. There was a space for it but no date included. I had no idea who to take it back to for a refund. Meanwhile, I had some games I was trying to get back to and didn't want to burn another half-hour Saturday evening going up and back again and maybe finding someone in-store to help me (while soggy ice cream packages melted completely). They changed my supply to a 30 day supply which cost more to get it every 30 days when a 90 day supply is cheaper and said they only had enough to fill a 30 day supply of Synthroid which is a common drug. Went twice to pick up my 90 day supply and was told this the second time I went. Looking for a new pharmacy and better prices. I've been a CVS customer for over 30 years! read more

If I could select a negative rating, I would. We typically get our prescriptions from Walmart but they didn't have what we needed, so we went to CVS. We chose the drive-through due to Covid. There were two cars ahead of us when we pulled in. 15 minutes later, we finally reached the window. (We would have left but we were blocked in.) We were shocked to see there was a dedicated attendant to this window. It took her a few minutes to take our prescription in. She said to pick it up at 4:00 p.m. We sent our son at 6:00 p.m. He had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to get to a clerk who told him to come back at 8:30. (We live 25 minutes away.) He went back at 9:00, still had to wait 20 minutes, and we finally received our RX. When using Walmart, the average wait for a RX is about 2 minutes. The clerks are efficient, there are enough of them. When you have a person in front of you, typically, less than one minute later, the line moves to the next person. How CVS pharmacy can be so incredibly inefficient and discourteous of peoples time is beyond me! I am dreading the process of having to get the prescription transferred to another pharmacy because if I was on my death bed and CVS had the only RX on the planet that could help me, I would die instead. Get it together CVS or close your doors. You are a menace to Ocean Springs, MS, and a complete failure. read more

Ordered 6 canvases on a Saturday night went to pick up Sunday night and they were ready. Guy said machine broke down and someone was suppose to call me and let me know Sunday morning. Never got the call. So I told him I would be back by Monday after 5 when I get off. Called and they still were not ready. She said they forgot and to get them 15 mins they would be ready. I waited almost 30 mins before I went to pick them up and had only 1 done and Saud they had to restart machine. Very poor and unprofessional service. Will def drive to Diberville next time I need more made. Won't ever use this O.S. location again. I know thing ms happen but common courtesy they could have at least called and let me know. I'm retired military. The base hospital is out of a medication my wife needs so they faxed a script to CVS in Ocean Springs. They called me today to notify me her prescription was ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I was told it was over $200 because they no longer accept our veteran's insurance policy, Tricare. I went across the street and got the prescription filled at Ocean Springs Discount Pharmacy for $20. Shame on CVS for not honoring veterans' insurance... read more

Poor service. I walked in after working out just to grab a water. One cashier and no other associates visible on the floor. The ONE cashier was printing pictures as the line grew. No calls were made for additional help. When asked, she advised me that I could go to the pharmacy to check out. No luck there either as there was a line back there as well. This is a quick review of the retail offerings. I love that they have plenty stock of natural and organic products. There's a great selection of Burt's Bees items. They also have ome nice hair products without sulfates and garbage in them. Customer service is a bit lacking and distant, although not a big deal. I brought in my own bags and told them to use my bag, but they absent-mindedly went for their own plastic anyway, and I had to remind them of what I just said two seconds ago. Overall there are a good amount of everyday retail items including cards, magazines, baby food, water, cosmetics, and more. Compared to the other shops in the area, his one has a very clean and easy to navigate interior. read more

Absolute worst pharmacy experience I've ever had with CVS. I made three separate trips over the course of one day to pick up one prescription that was called in at 9 am. Fast forward to 3 pm and two trips later, it still took what looks to be a fully-staffed pharmacy over 40 minutes to fill my prescription. I will not be a return customer, and I would advise others to steer clear of this store's pharmacy. read more

Slowest pharmacy ever. You'll be lucky to get your prescription the same day. If you wait in the store you will wait at least two hours. Will come to pick prescription up at the designated time and it is not ready. Save yourself the hassle and go to Rite Aid in Ocean Springs. I transferred all my prescriptions out from CVS. read more

This pharmacy is very chaotic and not managed well. Some of the staff are friendly and professional but some are not which brings the overall experience to a low. Also, when I have a prescription that I hand to the pharmacist and he doesn't know what it is I would at least appreciate it if he ask for a little time to do a quick research. I took the prescription to another pharmacy where all of the staff knew what the medication was and informed me that they could order it and have it the next morning. This was very pleasing. It makes me wonder when the pharmacist doesn't know about a medication but the entire staff knows at another pharmacy. I had an incident where I was misinformed about some information by the pharmacy and was told to look into it. It was a prescription discount card. I was very appreciative. However, I did have to call back a few times because I couldn't pull the information necessary each time out of the staff to complete the task. On my next to last call to them I was given a huge sigh and told that when I call there that I am taking out their time. My reply? I will be taking my business elsewhere. Their reply? Okay! They don't care. I hung up and called the actual discount card company and discovered that I had been given erroneous information and couldn't use the card. It had been rejecting and it was a reason that I had to be calling several times. I, then, called AGAIN to inform them of this fact so that they would not convey this information to other patients and also so that they would know that I wouldn't have gone through all of this had I not been given the incorrect information. Believe me, I would not have wanted to waste my time like this. I will say that I the last time I spoke with a lovely lady named Sandy who was very nice and apologetic for the way that I had been treated which was unprofessional. Actually, she gave me the erroneous information. I do not blame her. She thought that this was correct and I thanked her for trying to save me money and doing a good thing. I asked for a pharmacy manager. No, there is no pharmacy manager on staff on the weekends. Well, could this be why there is such chaos and loss of professionalism? I don't know but this could have all been just a good laugh at a crazy, whirlwind day but, instead, I talked to staff who didn't want to waste time. I can say this. Why? I've worked many, many years in oral surgery and dentistry and I've always treated every patient with utmost respect and never once acted as if or told them that they were wasting my time. Misunderstandings happen and misinformation happens but staff in this type of setting should always be professional or go somewhere else to work if they can't handle it! read more
