Experience at the pharmacy while collecting meds today. Served by a male counter staff who scanned my pickup order and then told me, "I'll be back." While I'm waiting, I see that he's service a drive-thru customer! I asked another assistant, who was just idly standing at the counter, how the person who is serving me can serve another customer. Her response was, "He'll be back!" I insisted that I get me meds immediately. Someone else had to find it. Such dismal service. read more

You can't make this up. Getting a monthly prescription for 8 months, I've gotten the whole script in one visit once. The other months I got partials. The last month I got 3 partials. All due to not in stock. Each visit requires standing in line on average of 15 minutes only to be told that it's not ready and come back in 15 minutes and stand in line again! So December took 6 visits at 30 minutes inside cvs and 20 minutes travel to and from each time. Total for December is 7 hours of my time. Once I was going to Europe the next day and they only had 2 days worth. I asked why this was happening and it was always due to someone else. This store doesn't care about their customers and taking responsibility. I feel bad for the workers there as they try hard being grossly understaffed. I'm stuck with them for where they are located. Just here to verify it's all the same CVS commodities you know and buy because you need it, and there's a CVS conveniently located near you. (Maybe even in your bedroom? They're literally everywhere.) BUT! Prescriptions are never ready, post-phone inquisitions (text, calls, etc). And my scrips have either been filled with generics or name brands, and both times, the pharmacy techs have insisted they were by the book. Two lanes for drive-thru convenience? Well when you think it can't get worse there it has.... the other day we picked up a prescription that was called into the pharmacy three days before it was actually ready.... we called to see when it would be ready, they said two hours.... went the next day..... still not ready.... When it was, we brought it home just to realize that IT WAS NOT OUR SCRIPT! Not even the same meds.... label had a different name on it! Thank God we looked at it before giving it to our child! Talk about all kinds of bad stuff that could have happened! Thanks for the HIPPA violation CVS. We have immediately switched all of our scrips to another pharmacy and will be filing a complaint with the state board of pharmacy. DON'T GO TO THIS CVS! The pharmacy doesn't answer the phone. The prescriptions are sometimes not ready despite being called in days before. The pharmacist is unwilling to provide customer service and fill it despite CVS error and instead says to come back the next day. read more

After 2 years of performing Covid tests, CVS is still just as incompetent as they have been since the beginning. If you are planning to travel, DON'T depend on CVS getting your results to you within the promised time frame. They don't care. read more

Retail store is great. Staff is helpful and go out of their way to keep line moving and help you if needed. Despite employment/supply chain crisis going on. Pharmacy another story. CVS corporate obviously all about the money. Contant texts to refill prescriptions, recording joyfully brags they offer 15 vaccines. One liscensed pharmacist filling scripts, running out to blue curtin to give a vaccine. Then back to scripts, vaccine, drive up full, phone "8 callers waiting" drugs are their money maker. Have been a customer over 20 years. Corporate obviously doesn't care. I moved my scripts to their competition much better. read more

It was 7:30PM at night, went to CVs to grab a few things. At the register, the lady would NOT peel her eyes off her magazine (Comso??)...I mean even when she was ringing up my items. I gave her my gift card to paid for items, then, without taking her eyes off the magazine, she threw away my card without blinking her eyes. I still have about $40 in the card..she just threw it away. When I asked for it back, she went to the trash to pick it up...no apology, no sorry, nothing. I understand CVS perhaps pay their employees to read entertaining magazine during their shift...but don't you think it's a bit unprofessional, even for CVS, to not pay any attention to the customer? This pharmacy does not answer the phone for prescribers or customers. The staff lie when asked if a prescription was received. I know because I'm a physician trying to call in a prescription. I have called it in to the voicemail twice and each time the staff has told the patient that no prescription was sent. read more

Do not go here for prescriptions! Takes forever to fill. I don't mean a few hours - I mean literally DAYS to fill a prescription of a very common medication. I'de give it 5* for its Convenience, location, and pharmacy staff friendliness. But I've transferred my prescription twice out of here because of service. It's amazing to see pharmacy closing all around them from lack of customers and this pharmacy won't answer the phone. I called last week as they had put wrong amount in my prescription, after 30min of waiting I asked my daughter to drive down and tell them. She drove there told them, they filled the balance of medicine that was missing and came back and I was still on hold, see photo of my call log. I have meds at pillpack I was going to transfer back and they left me a message that they were 45min on hold twice trying to transfer my meds and no pickup. This is just unacceptable and disrespectful to customers time with no regard to the person on the other end waiting and they obviously have no intention of answering. I am disabled and dependent on others to drive to the store. I am currently 2 weeks out of medication as pillpack cant fill my order due to insurance requirements and unable to transfer my prescriptions as no one answers the phone. Once I'm able to drive again I will be limited to drive thru pharmacies so looking now for pharmacy now on yelp with drive thru and felt compelled to advise everyone to stay away from here. read more

Pharmacy staff are rude and can not get scripts ready on time. I had a script sent to them from urgent care at 8:30am went to pick it up at 10:15 and told it would 10 more minutes, then told by someone else 20 more minutes. But the staff was so rude, I called the urgent care back and got my script sent to another CVS. Will never go there again and will let all I know in the Town of Norwell about the poor service, and I grew up in the town, so I know a lot of people. Do Not Go Here if you can help it. This cvs is a relatively newer location. The staff upfront is friendly, the store is well laid out, clean, and well stocked. I mainly go here for prescriptions. The pharmacists (though always changing) are always fantastic. They always do whatever they can to make sure things go smoothly. They even once checked a competing pharmacy to see it they had my medicine available when CVS couldn't fill the order themselves. That is top notch. read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever! I switched to CVS Norwell because I hated the service, treatment and wait times at CVS Weymouth on Commercial Street. And ha! Joke was on me! The grass is always greener. They were a cake walk compared to this sh*t show CVS in Norwell! How on earth hasn't someone shut this place down yet or fixed things? Never again. And it's too bad because it's convenient but now I have to drive miles to another (not so convenient) CVS. The Reviews are accurate! They text, call, sos that your script is ready only to arrive and it's not! They misplace prescriptions! Wtf? I don't even know how this happens to me more than once, never-mind to others who took time to review. The line is 10 miles long inside and outside at the drive through at all hours of the day, and why are the people working here so miserable? Stay far far away! The staff at the Norwell Cvs are so nice to their customers. I have never had a bad experience at this store as a result of poor service. I have however, become disgusted with the customers. The amount of abuse I have witnessed these employees put up with is troubling. The customers have zero regard for the effort they put into that store. I have seen other men and women trashing shelves because they cant find what they came in for. I have seen customers throw tantrums and threaten to call their manager over virtually nothing. These men, women, and young adults who work at this location are very respectful individuals, and do not deserve to be belittled as often as they are. All too often I see young girls in their school uniforms throw $100 worth of makeup, nail polish, shampoo etc on the counter and the mother happily pays for all of it, while chatting on her cell phone, giving the cashier an attitude. This is the kind of message that town is sending the staff. I am sort of embarassed to shop there as a result. read more
