Combining a pharmacy, a nonemergency medical clinic, and essentially a convenience store takes a lot of coordination. CVS does this coast-to-coast and executes a fairly consistent experience. This location is my preferred pharmacy and they generally meet or exceed my expectations. If you use the CVS app, then you can manage your prescriptions and get notifications when refills or new prescriptions are ready. It's a fairly seamless experience; you can tailor your experience however you like. At this location, you can pick up your prescriptions in store or via the drive-through and there is always someone working either side. Same thing goes for the MinuteClinic. You can make appointments online, submit your intake paperwork, and be seen same day. They offer routine immunizations, wellness visits, and minor medical needs. I find the nurse practitioners to be friendly and skilled, and I enjoy having this convenience. My only knock is that the pharmacy does close down between 1:30-2:00 each day. That's not a real inconvenience, as I know when their hours are, but I have been tripped up by it before. CVS also is big into automation, as if the app is not enough, self-service kiosks will let you check out quickly. The store is clean and well-stocked and provides a neighborhood convenience that definitely evolves with consumer patterns. P.S. And they print the LONGEST receipts of any chain. read more

Didn't have the prescription despite the hospital confirming they had sent it over. Had to resend. Then they didn't fill it before closing. Meds were to be taken before bed. This is typical for this pharmacy. Will use Walgreen from now on. read more

Terrible customer service. From other reviews I can see it is normal for this team. Husband went to pick up medication yesterday, we are new to this pharmacy so insurance info needed to be entered. The pharmacist or assistant at the pickup area rolled his eyes and scoffed when my husband handed him the insurance information. Then told him he needed to go to the "drop off window for that". When my husband walked over to the drop off window, the lady asked "what" so my husband began to explain he needed to enter the insurance information to pick up the prescription. She then rudely interrupts him by saying "I don't need your life story"... these people are terrible and need to find new jobs. read more

I reviewed this store a few years ago and it was a terrible experience. I refused to shop here over that issue and today I made the most horrendous mistake ever by returning. The only reasons they get four stars is because they stopped selling beer. Pharmacy is way better than Hy-Vee and Walgreens. Also they give you 50c a prescription in rewards! Way better than Walgreens. Pharmacy is always fast The best part about cvs is their carepass program. For $5 a month you get $10 in store credit plus weekly 40% off an item coupons! Darrel the pharmacist has 0 costumer service ability. Very rude at the window - very annoyed that I asked if I needed to give him a new insurance card - I knew I did and was happy to pull around and wait... to let other customers ahead of me. He then said they don't accept my insurance any more - BCBS. I said I have a good rx card. He sighed heavily. I said do you not want my business? It was terrible service. Horrible attitude from that man. When everyone hates getting RX from cvs you'd think they would want to keep customers. Never going back. This pharmacy is terrible avoid it at all cost. I stood At the counter making eye contact with 3 employees while they ignored me. Then my script wasn't even ready even tho they sent a text notification saying it was. No explanation just to come back later only to be notified after words my ins didn't cover the meds. read more

I shopped there for a few things and no one was at register for check out? Finally I used self check out and the one staff member came in from outside. She yelled over (not sure if directed at me or other people using self check out? ) from 15 ft away to tell me my credit card was wrong. She never came close to help me just continued to yell. When I was alone and realized "Jennifer" was addressing me, she said that she was a "loud talker" and "did not like to get up in people's business", declining to look at the machine with me. So, I'm a Walgreens guy, from having worked there briefly in my misspent youth, but there are some things that CVS offers that Walgreens doesn't. One of them is Moneygram. Recently a friend sent me a gift from Japan and I came here, picked up the red phone, verified my identity, and walked out with $100. Pretty cool. Also picked up some cold medicine. Ordered my prescription on a Saturday for a Sunday late afternoon pickup. Went at 5 and not ready even though I got a text stating it was. Prices here are so outrageous on everyday essentials and staff is not friendly to each other or customers. read more

So I get a text saying my prescription is ready and when I get there I notice that it's a large bag and I ask what they have for me which turns out to be a special mouthwash I picked up last month. I point this out and tell the lady behind the counter that it was something else, she asks if I can wait 20 minutes to which I say OK since I had to pick some cough drops and other items. I then get what I need and proceed to the waiting area, at this point 30 minutes have passed and since it was pretty busy I continue to wait, 45 minutes into it I'm asked what I'm waiting on and again I tell this person who then tries to give me the same mouthwash I've already told I had picked up last month, she then fumbles thru whatever on the computer and tells me that she's gonna look into it. An hour into it another person asks the same question and again I go thru the exact same process of me pointing out that no I'm not here for the mouthwash but another item. The other person says that she will work on it and it would be 10 minutes, I pace around and then another person asks what I'm waiting for at this point I'm about to lose it. I give him my info and finally he finds what I came for and tells me that he doesn't know what they're doing over there. Well that was the cherry on top. I used to go to the Walgreens down the street and never had any issues like this one, our insurance changed and we are forced to use this pharmacy which I think I'm just gonna go to one further down the road and see if they don't have their heads in their ass like this one does. read more

Agree 100% with the others regarding the lack of speed and reliability of this pharmacy. 1) I don't know why their drive thru line takes so much time. 2) I don't know why there is almost ALWAYS a problem and a holdup when processing my prescriptions. 3) They promise to have it ready by a certain time and then don't have it ready, even when I show up 2 hours after the promised time, it isn't ready. 4) When they were unable to locate my prescription on file, I had to call my doctor and have him send it again, only for someone to realize later l it was in the system the whole time (more than once this has happened). 5) The worst part of all: When they have processing problems, which is more times than not, they don't let me know until I arrive at the pharmacy to pick it up. No update text, no communication about a delay. Just silence. I dread dealing with this pharmacy each month. 6) Another issue is the number of texts I have received from CVS asking me if I want to put a medication on auto refill. When I follow the directions and text back confirmation, I expect it to be a done deal. Instead, when I next go to this CVS, I am asked, "Do you want to put this on automatic refill?" Then, the next month, again a text asking me want the medication on automatic refill. I already said yes to this same medication being auto filled twice! I blame the software for this issue. It isn't the fault of the pharmacist or pharmacy tech for asking. 7) The combination of all of these problems makes dealing with CVS an experience that I dread and loathe. I am forced into staying until my final prescription on file is filled. Then, I will happily switch to the Walgreens down the street, where I have not had any of these problems. I will add that I haven't experienced any problems with the attitudes of the pharmacists or pharmacy techs. They have always behaved in a professional and respectful manner. I will not be using any CVS pharmacies anymore. I am just one customer, but for the number of times I have experienced problems with having a prescription filled at CVS, I have no doubts that this is an ongoing issue, and many people feel just like me...they just didn't write a review about it. read more

I used to prefer this location, but recently I've had problems with people loitering at the front door and being kind of annoying and the cashier was so unfriendly. She'd been talking with her friend for 30 minutes, so when I showed up to pay for my huge cart of items, I guess it annoyed her to have to stop talking and work. She shoved everything into one big bag, including a 2 liter bottle of soda (I spent about $85), so of course the bag tore open before it even got to the car. read more

I love all of the people complaining about the managers... Open your eyes! CVS don't care. I go here a lot because it is close but you just gotta put up with it because no one is going to change anything about it. Rehiring new managers is less favorable then the $10 people spend here. I'm just glad to know I wasn't the only one treated like trash in this CVS. Honestly they as in all the idiots in the pharmacy should go to the 75 and metcalf location and see how they treat people and do there jobs . I went there for about 4 years and never one problem and you could walk in hand a prescription to them and 15 min. Later it's ready and they are just as busy as this location. I'm not sure why this cvs is so terrible but it is so sad because it's so close to my home but I guarentee I can go to cvs at 7501 metcalf and be home 2 hours before this place would even be done treating me like sh-- and starting to help me . Context: 6 month old daughter with an ear infection. Prescription sent electronically to CVS @ 7:15P. My wife and I arrived at the pharmacy at 7:45. Rather than being met with a "Hello", I was met with long stares from the pharmacist and technician greeting me. I communicated the necessary information and was told that the prescription was not showing up. Maybe there was a mix up? I asked if the prescription was sent elsewhere, perhaps an accident. The technician responded coldly and informed me that there was no prescription being shown. My question was never directly answered. I spoke with another technician and was asked to wait 10 minutes. I explained that I had a feverish daughter in the car and was unable to wait. I said that I'd return in 15 minutes to pick up the antibiotic. She smiled and said that she'd see me shortly. The problem? The pharmacy closes at 8P. I returned at 8:15, unaware and prepared to pick up my daughter's respite. Pharmacy. Closed. I quickly made plans to pick-up at another 24 hour location, but quickly found out that I was unable. The prescription is only available at this location. By this time, the urgent care was also closed. I admit my own fault of not knowing the hours better. I'll do better next time. I'll do better by doing my business elsewhere. I'm now forced to watch my 6 month old suffer through another night of misery. If I could rate lower than the Likert scale allowed, I would do so. Judging by the looks of recent reviews and through word of mouth, my experience doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. If you hate your job-please, find a new one! read more

Jennifer F, who's name tag indicates she's on the management team, was incredibly rude and acted as if my purchase tonight was a huge inconvenience to her. I had recently switched to the mobile receipts and asked how to transfer my discount coupon to my card and she loudly made a display about I should figure it out on my own because it's easy and then embarrassed me by loudly announcing my coupon expired the week before. I just moved to Lenexa and visited this CVS location for the 1st time, but if this is how the Lenexa CVS does customer service, then I'll be finding a new store to spend my money. read more

This is your basic CVS, but it's open 24 hours, including the pharmacy. I haven't had to use it yet late at night (thank God!) but it's good to know it's there in case of emergency. It's right down 87th St. from a 24-hour Walgreen's store at Lackmann, so between the two of them you should be able to find just about anything you need! read more

AVOID, go anywhere else. The "Minute (aka 2 hour) Clinic" will have signs out saying "$39 Sports Physicals" then the technician will charge you $49... then a month later you'll get an additional bill for $20 when they tried to charge your insurance (sports physicals are not covered under insurance anyway). LIES and overcharges. I'll NEVER return to ANY CVS due to this. If you try to call the customer service line they will leave you on hold for 30 minutes and then hang up on you. There are probably 25 urgent cares within 15 minutes of my home so it is quite easy to never use "Minute Clinic" again. read more

This place has gone to hell. They apparently can no longer count pills correctly so check your bottle before you leave. My doctor sends prescriptions that this CVS can't find for hours or days. If you're unfortunate enough to take several prescriptions due to a chronic condition forget about being able to get all those prescriptions filled the same day. They do everything they can to jack everything up so you're forced to drive over there at least twice a week to pick up some pills instead of picking up all your prescriptions at once every month. They also do this weird thing where if your doctor sends them a prescription for a medication you're already taking they put it "on file" then when your prescription expires they call your doctor to authorize a refill instead of using the prescription that the doctor just sent that's "on file." This can cause the kind of confusion that can only be resolved by making a dozen phone calls to your doctor and the store and waiting several days. Aren't high school kids supposed to be tech savvy? You'd think the teenage pharmacy techs would be able to click a link and see those "on file" prescriptions. Speaking of teenage pharmacy techs they're stealing pills. Seriously, count your pills before you drive away. read more

Not bad, I usually hit up Walgreens, but I always seem to be around this location when I realize I need to get something. The gentleman working was very courteous and asked everyone he passed if they needed any help. He was also working the register when I checked out. Then I realized he was the only worker that I saw in the place other than the pharmacy techs. I noticed two people at the photo counter that looked s bit annoyed with their wait. Not my usual location to shop, but ended up here to use some "extrabucks" that were about to expire. CVS is usually great to coupon at, there's always great deals and you can stack manufacturer and store coupons there. I had a couponing game plan in mind, but when I got to the store the coupon machine didn't print the coupon that I needed. Okay, so time to go through the rest of my coupons to see what I can get good deals on so I don't miss out on my extrabucks. I have three extrabucks coupons to use, one for myself and the other two my roommates. I've never had an issue with using multiple extrabucks coupons until today. Terence, an assistant store manager, was the one who checked me out once I finally found a decent deal. He informed me that he can only use two accounts per person per his store manager. I don't mind that at all, I understand that some stores do things differently than other locations. My issue was with Terence's attitude. Throughout my entire shopping trip at this location I could hear him making negative comments. He seemed to be in a horrible mood. I understand that sometimes you have a bad day, but you don't show your customers the bad mood that you're in. I tried making small talk with him, but his poor attitude wasn't going to be broken. I highly doubt I'll be visiting this location again. read more
