Early in the day, when the owner is working there... employees are respectful, accepting bottle…read morereturns, taking out trash and doing there jobs. In the evening, the owner is not there. The light skin male cashier, with the balding hair and goatee, I don't know his name?, has an extremely nasty attitude, far different from the attitude he has when the owner is there. Sunday October 23, between 4:30pm -5:30pm I had literally (2) 2 liter Pepsi bottle returns. He said he's not taking any returns, I asked why not?. He repeated, "I'm not taking any"...end of discussion". I understood he refused to take them, but he never gave me a clear answer of why he wouldn't take the 2 deposits. This has happened on many other occasions with this same cashier. Doesn't matter if I'm not returning bottles, he's sarcastically rude when I wanna play my lottery numbers, purchase cigarette's, and mostly every other time I visit. When the owner is behind the counter with him, he has a sudden respect for customers. All credit to the evening cashier, I will buy my lottery tickets, cigarettes, and other items at J&B Liquor, it's actually allott closer to my house. Never! will I walk into 6 & lodge liquor again, unless he's no longer an employee there. Why should I continue, passing my money to an idiot?. If this store sells the returnable beverages you buy, then they should honor that agreement with the recycler...or just stop selling it. COVID restrictions on returns have been lifted for months now. 8 months ago, the explanation for not accepting returns was, "They haven't delivered our bottle machine yet". For a business that successfully extracts huge profits from our community, selling mostly liquor & smoking products, it puzzles me why this store has such a flip-flop policy, and difficulty with simple bottle returns. I've met the owner, very nice guy!...it surprises me that he allows such a negative reflection on his business.
